36 MonthsBachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Information Technology is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the University of Mumbai, Mumbai.
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science- Information Technology shall have passed the XII standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category candidates.
2. Candidates who have passed a Diploma (Three years after S.S.C.- X Std.) in Information Technology/ Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Electrical, Electronics, and Video Engineering and Allied Branches /Mechanical and allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches and are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc.(I.T.) degree course.
However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required: 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.
OR
Candidates with post-HSC-Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc.(I.T.).
However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized government body. The minimum marks required are 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.
A candidate seeking admission for T.Y.B. Sc should fulfill the following Criteria:
Candidate must have cleared either F.Y.B.Sc or S.Y.B.Sc. in full.
AND
The candidate is allowed to keep terms (A.T.K.T) in not more than two papers in each Semester. i.e. SEM I & SEM II ofF.Y.B.Sc.
OR
The candidate is allowed to keep terms (A.T.K.T) in not more than two papers in each Semester. i.e. SEM III & SEM IV ofS.Y.B.Sc.
Admission is as per merit and other norms laid down by the University of Mumbai from time to time.
