Sri Krishna Educational Trust was established in the year 1999 by Founder Chairman Thiru R. Vivekanandhan. Sri Krishna Engineering College was started in the year 2000 by Sri Krishna Educational Trust to spread quality education to all categories of students. The SKIT Chennai was started with 3 UG courses and now it is adorned with 5 UG and 3 PG courses.

The next step in 2008 was the grand opening of the Gopal Ramalingam Memorial Engineering College offering various UG courses like Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication & Information Technology. Add another feather to the SKIT crown.
