Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital (SMVMCH), a private medical college situated in Puducherry, India. This college for both male and female students was founded in 2006 and has thus catapulted to the top list of colleges for medical studies. SMVMCH is one of the largest health sciences universities spread over a 40-acre area with various undergrad and postgraduate medical courses. The college is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and affiliated with the National Medical Commission (NMC). As it has already been established, SMVMCH provides a broad spectrum of medical programmes and within them comprise 21 programmes taught at three degrees. The largest programme of the college, or the MBBS programme has an approved intake capacity of 250 seats. It also has several postgraduate courses, among which are MD and MS in specialities such as anaesthesia, medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, and gynaecology, as well as several others.
