It is necessary that the candidates passed 10+2 with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects and passed the NEET-UG exam to receive admission.

SMVMCH provides a variety of postgraduate courses, such as MD and MS courses in different specialties. Admissions to these courses are done on the basis of NEET-PG exam scores. The college provides MD courses in specialties like, MD Anaesthesiology, MD General Medicine, MD Paediatrics, MD Pathology, MD Radiology, MD Anatomy, MD Dermatology, MD Forensic Medicine, MD Pharmacology, MD Physiology, MD Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, MD Psychiatry, MD Biochemistry, MD Community Medicine, and MD Microbiology.
