Sri Shankara College of Nursing is a new college founded in the year 2018 placed at the centre of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Located in the Shankara Matt Premises of Shankarapuram, Basavanagudi, it is an affiliated college that is rapidly growing in the context of nursing education. It is a INC recognised and co-educational facility with open door policy that allows students from different background to attend the institute. Gondwana is a private college that occupies a small piece of land of 1 acre and enroled only 24 students and employs four faculty members. Specialised degree programmes are offered only in one field of study in Sri Shankara College of Nursing, something which shows a college’s specialisation of nursing.

Sri Shankara College of Nursing  has modern amenities to support the learning needs of the college was established with latest equipments. Among these amenities, there is a large library containing a huge number of books in various industries to respond to the need for up-to-date information of a future nurse. This clinical laboratory enhances the avenues for biochemical, hematologic, and microbiologic analytical tests with students gaining practical experience. Sri Shankara College of Nursing offers one full-time course: the B.Sc Nursing programme. This four-year degree programme has an approved student intake of 40 students thus, the small class sizes that ensure adequate student-faculty ratio as a major concern of our college. The course of study includes the B.Sc Nursing which encompasses a blend of both theoretical concepts and practical experiences needed in practicing the nursing profession. The college has an overall student intake capacity of forty students however, twenty-four students are enroled in the college for the current sessions this show that there is a potential for other aspiring nursing students.
