Srinivasa Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Proddatur, Andhra Pradesh, was started in the year 2007 as a co-educational institution. This is an affiliated college under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, especially for pharmaceutical education, and is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. The SIPS is spread over a 2.5-acre campus and offers 8 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree levels. The institute has a total strength of 480 students, with an almost balanced sex ratio, where the number of boys is 278 and that of girls is 302. It also has a faculty of 59 members, so SIPS has maintained an appreciable student-to-faculty ratio, which would help in imparting quality education in different specialisations under the pharmaceutical umbrella.

SIPS offers a wide variety of courses in the pharmaceutical field to suit different academic interests and professional goals. The academic portfolio contains one undergraduate programme, B.Pharma, the 5 postgraduate programmes that are the different specialisations for M.Pharma, and the 2 doctoral courses. All the programmes are full-time and aims to equip the students with a high degree of knowledge in the chosen field and practical skills. The intake approved for the B.Pharma programme is 100 students. 

The admission process in Srinivasa Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is based on merit and governed by regulations that have been enacted from time to time by the competent authority.
