Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology, Anantapur was established in 2008 and accredited by NAAC with a grade ‘A’. The SRIT  is recognised by the University Grants Commission and approved by  All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). SRIT Anantapur is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur.  The institute offers variety of engineering programmes. The SRIT admissions are offered in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The candidates should appear for the relevant entrance examination which includes AP EAMCET/GATE/ AP PGECET or equivalent examination. Candidates wishing to apply must meet the eligibility criteria set by SRIT.

The SRIT admissions will be based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. The SRIT Anantapur has  an on-campus training and placement cell that handles all placement activities. The SRIT placement cell serves as a bridge between students and companies, facilitating the placement process. The Institute provides multiple facilities on campus for students and employees. The SRIT facilities include a library, transport facilities, medical/hospital, cafeteria, sports, transportation, and many other facilities.

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology is located at Rotary Puram Village, B K Samudram Mandal, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The institute is conveniently located just 3.7km away from the nearest bus stop, Reddy palli. For those travelling by train, the Taticherla railway station is a mere 2.5km away. If air travel is preferred, the Puttaparthi Airport is the closest, situated 90.2km from the institute.
