    St. Aloysius Institute of Education, Mangalore came into existence in the year 2006, which is one of the well known teacher education establishments situated in Mangalore – the coastal city of Karnataka. This affiliated college, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE), is for nurturing teachers. Established in 1966, the institute is located at Light House Hill Road, Kodialbail on a small plot of 0.53 acre, and provides an environment conducive to learning teaching to the student community interested in the teaching field. With a total student enrolment of 50 and the faculty strength of 10 students, St. Aloysius Institute of Education pays individual attention to all its students as well as imparts quality education to all its enrolled students.

    St. Aloysius Institute of Education, Mangaluru, was established in 2006 and is affiliated with Mangalore University. St. Aloysius Institute of Education is equipped with several facilities in order to facilitate learning among the students as members of the institute. With respect to the nature and variety of sources available on this use, the library boasts an adequate stock-in-trade of both text and reference materials that concentrate on a variety of areas relevant to teacher education. This course enables a student to qualify as a full time teacher after two years of intensive training to equip competent teachers. Since the student teacher ratio must be controlled for efficiency, the institute has an approved admission capacity of fifty for this programme. This specific method is advantageous in that this approach eases training, focus on individual student, which is important in producing effective educators.
