State Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (SIHMCTAN), Jodhpur, is a state level Institute established in the year 2001. This college is situated in Jodhpur Rajasthan and has discipline of hospitality studies. It occupies a campus size of 6.5 acre and has 12 highly committed faculty members. Today, SIHMCT&AN provides 6 programmes in two educational degrees, connected with hotel management and culinary art. This is as follows Hospitality and Hotel Administration, diploma in Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operations, Bakery and Confectionery, and House Keeping Operations.
SIHMCT&AN furnishes students with modern amenities intended to improve the learning of the students. The institute has several amenities such as Housekeeping labs equipped with the necessary training tools such as tools for Guestroom Management. The IT facilities consist of infrastructure which include a computer lab with forty modern computers. This is a central source of knowledge since it stocks more than 7000 books, journals magazines and newsletters. Hostel accommodation is affordable, safe and comfortable for male and female students who need it. The school has several facilities for sports to encourage all the students to balance their time with studies and games. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, both 24 hour, and the entire campus is under CCTV surveillance. A guest house and waiting room are provided to the visiting faculty and the members of the student’s families. The institute also continues to foster alumni relations through its networking activities within its frameworks.
The college contains a wide choice of courses as for different sides of the hospitality business. At present, it offer one Bachelors degree programme and five diploma courses that are all full time programmes. The entry capacity for the newly launched B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is 120 and all the diploma courses are found her taking 40 students each. The overall student capacity in all courses offered is 320. It has established these programmes in such a way that it aims at offering both theoretical information and skills that are vital for the sector to student attendees.

The admission process for the students of SIHMCT&AN is based on programme of study. For the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, the selection is in accordance to candidates’ All India Rank (AIR) obtained in the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE), conducted by JEE-NTA. This screening reduces the population of the programme students to only those that meet the stringent standards of the programme.
