Stella Mary’s College of Engineering, Kanyakumari, was established in the year 2012 and is a self financing, private engineering college functioning under the Thiruvallar Quasi Religious Charter in the southern part of Tamil Nadu, India. This affiliated college approved by AICTE, New Delhi and NAAC, Bangalore comprising a wide spectrum of engineering and management courses for its students. Located on a large land area of 40 acres, the college admits a total of 805 student and has a faculty of 95 members. Stella Mary’s offers 9 courses over three degrees levels in order to focus on specialisation in different areas of engineering and management.
Stella Mary’s College of Engineering make sure that the students are provided with quality environment and effective teaching learning resources and equipments. The campus has developed various laboratories for each branch and they are Mechanical, Civil, Computer science, Electronics communication and electronics and electrical. The central library contains approximately 5000 books in the engineering disciplines and the library facility provides e-resources. In the interest of students, there are two hostels -one for boys and the other for girls having facilities of accommodation, a canteen and comfortable and home-like environment. There is also a gymnasium, a cafeteria, a hall for assembly and other functions, and a shop to meet learners’ various needs among other facilities.

All these programmes are made available based on TANCET scores. The overall capacity for BE/B.Tech programmes is 420 seats, while Computer Science Engineering takes lead as the highest with up to 120 seats.
The college has only two postgraduate engineering courses: ME in Computer Science and Engineering and ME in Industrial Safety Engineering. Stella Mary's College of Engineering, Kanyakumari admission process for these two programmes is based on scores in CEETA-PG. Each of the ME programmes has a capacity of 24 seats. Candidates seeking admission into these courses must have at least a related BE/B.Tech degree.
