In the year 1990, SVPM's College of Engineering was established in Pune as a premier institution to impart quality engineering education. The affiliated college at Malegaon(Bk), Baramati, Pune, has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Spread across a sprawling 10-acre campus, SVPM's College of Engineering offers a plethora of engineering programs to its bankroll of 1,420 enrolled students. It has a faculty strength of 65 members to ensure a very favorable student-to-faculty ratio. With 9 courses at 3 degree levels, the college offers specialized education in the different disciplines of engineering so as to make students developed and socially conscious for dynamism in technology and innovation.

SVPM's College of Engineering boasts ultra-modern facilities for the enrichment of students' learning. Each department has its own well-equipped laboratories where students can get hands-on experience, since it is an important part in the process of engineering education. The college library serves as a knowledge hub with a vast collection of reference books, handbooks, and national and international journals. Students can access e-journals. There is also a computerized barcode system that makes book transactions quick and efficient. Very noteworthy is the IT infrastructure, featuring in it specialized labs for different aspects of information technology, including software development, networking, and hardware studies.

SVPM's College of Engineering offers a variety of engineering programs suiting different interests of students. There are six BE programs: Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. At the postgraduate level, there are two ME programs in Design Engineering and Digital Electronics, and a Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunications. All its undergraduate programmes are full-time courses of four years' duration.

The admission procedure in SVPM's College of Engineering is just and all inclusive. The college accepts scores from various reputed national and state-level entrance exams, such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). These exams thus constitute an important selection criterion for different engineering programs in the college. It also accepts, at the postgraduate level, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering scores.
