The proposed Thakur Sen Negi Government College Kinnaur has been established in the year 1994 recognised and stands as a light of higher education in the beautiful Kinnaur district of the Himachal Pradesh state. The affiliated college is located in a small area of 4 acres, and has been imparting education for over twenty-seven years in the region. It is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is an added feather in the cap to the institution which has laid a strong foundation in quality education in this isolated region of Himalayan terrain. Presently, the college has a total enrolment of 490 students and has a strength of 25 dedicated faculty members and it is providing a number of 5 under graduate & post graduate courses in the-campus situated at Kinnaur.
Thakur Sen Negi Government College is a number of amenities which aim to contribute to the improvement of the students’ learning process. The nucleus of these facilities is in the college library which is an information centre with over 15000 volumes and growing stock of e-books. The library currently has subscribed to 5 newspapers and 8 magazines this make sure students are updated on current affairs and also read different magazines. The fifth impressive component is IT infrastructure and the IT lab including Internet connection and projector facilities are provided. This lab was set up by the Department of IT and the Department of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh and provides computer education to 700 students, computer science and Information Technology. Science lovers must be benefited from the college as the college has furnished departmental laboratories where the chemistry has more resources than any other department.
Today there are as a whole 5 courses available at Thakur Sen Negi Government College and all these courses are of full time. These are first three degree courses offered for under graduates – BA, B.Com, B.Sc; two more professional courses offered at Baba Saheb Buhimani – BCA Self Finance and PGDCA.

the infrastructure of thakur sen nege college is very nice despite of it adverse geographical location. and also it is situated in the main town of kinnaur and have all the basic facilities available like transportation, healthcare and access to markets.
