About The Vits Polytechnic, Satna
The VITS Polytechnic, Satna, was set up in 2016 and is an affiliated college situated at Satna in Madhya Pradesh. In this technical institute, admissions are required for the diploma programmes in different branches of engineering offered here and recognised by AICTE. The VITS Polytechnic is concerned with fulfilling all its students' state-of-the-art facilities so that they may have a conducive environment to learn in. There are two different hostels for the boys and the girls, in order to provide accommodation to the distant students. The boys' hostel, known as Vivekanand Hostel, is situated inside the campus, while the girls’ hostel is in the city. The two mentioned hostels include well-furnished rooms with individual lockers and study tables, and also a hot water supply by solar water heaters. There is also a well-provided gym on campus to ensure that the students are in proper health contact for some activities. For academic activities, it has a spacious central library that contains more than 52,000 books and subscribes to more than 250 general and technical journals. It is a computerised library and has e-journals through INDEST and DELNET sources, thus providing students with many resources for study.
During downtime, the VITS Polytechnic provides five diploma courses, which are all full-time. These are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying, Diploma in Civil Engineering, and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering. Each course requires prior approval for intakes, and 60 students have been approved in each course for all programmes, resulting in 300 students. The institute also has the mission of offering professional education and career preparation meant for sector practice.
