    About TIPER Meerut

    The Translam Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, popularly known as TIPER, was founded in the year 1987 at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It is an affiliated college under the leadership of the Pharmacy Council of India, which ensures that there is quality overthrown to the field of pharmacy, with the faculty count 31.

    The laboratories of the institute, like the Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry labs, are well equipped and provide practical experience. TIPER has separate boys' and girls' hostels with common rooms, reading rooms, and dining halls. The campus is fully equipped with all amenities such as a gymnasium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and a cafeteria. In terms of connectivity, the institute develops a strong IT infrastructure. It further offers transport facilities from far-flung areas of Meerut, and provides easy access from that area to the institute.

    TIPER offers seven courses in total at three different degree levels, having both undergraduate and graduate programs in pharmacy. The courses offered in the curriculum of the institute include full-time B.Pharma, M.Pharma with different specialisations, and D.Pharma. B.Pharma has an intake capacity of 60 students; the M.Pharma specialisations in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacognosy have 15, 15, and 9 seats, respectively. The D.Pharma program also accommodates 60 students.

    The admission process of TIPER varies from one programme to the other. For B.Pharma, the admission is based on mainly on the merit of U. P. State Entrance Examination (U.P.S.E.E.) conducted by AKTU and the TEE conducted by the Translam Group. The vacant seats are filled up by the college authorities based on the criteria prescribed by the concerned university. For M.Pharma programs, preference will be accepted to those who is holding a B.Pharma degree with a valid GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) score. Candidates without GPAT scores will be considered second in priority. D.Pharma admissions are done according to the guidelines of the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. TIPER also has provisions for lateral entry into B.Pharma for diploma holders, who can directly enter the second year of the program.

    TIPER Meerut Admission

    Translam Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (TIPER) one of the famous institutes in Meerut that offer a number of pharmacy programmes at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels. In this context, the admission process of the institute is well regulated to select worthy candidates for various pharmacy programmes. 

    The admission cycle for TIPER Meerut generally commences during months leading up to the academic session, which starts from around August-September. The institute admits via various entrance tests, depending on the programme. Admissions for undergraduate programmmes are primarily based on the U.P. State Entrance Examination (U.P.S.E.E.) that is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), followed by the Translam Entrance Examination (TEE) that is conducted by Translam Group.

    The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) scores are considered as the primary criterion for post-graduate admissions to TIPER. However, those without a GPAT score would be considered in TIPER Meerut admission process but would be given least priority. Graduates holding diploma certificates also have provision for lateral entry into the B.Pharma Programme. Basic eligibility includes completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for undergraduate programmes. For postgraduate programmes, applicants are required to have graduated from a recognised university with a B.Pharma degree.

    The application process for TIPER varies from one programme to another:

    TIPER Meerut Application Process For B.Pharma

    • Candidates must appear for the U.P. State Entrance Examination (U.P.S.E.E.) conducted by the AKTU.
    • Candidates must participate in the Translam Entrance Examination (TEE) conducted by the Translam Group.
    • Candidates must qualify in these examinations according to the cutoff criteria.
    • Candidates should fill out an application to TIPER via the process of counseling or as instructed by the institute.
    • If selected, candidates have to complete TIPER Meerut admission process, that includes document verification and payment of fees.

    TIPER Meerut Application Process For M.Pharma

    • Candidates must appear for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).
    • Candidates should apply directly to TIPER against their GPAT score and B.Pharma degree certificate.
    • Candidates without GPAT (score) can also apply but they will be counted after the candidates with GPAT.
    • Candidates should attend counseling or should appear for interviews if called upon by the institute.
    • Candidates, if selected, have to take TIPER Meerut admission with documentation and payment of fees.

    TIPER Meerut Application Process For D.Pharma

    • TIPER Meerut admission to D.Pharma is as set forth by the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow.
    • Candidates should follow the application process set by TIPER.
    • Admission processes should be completed if selected.

    TIPER Meerut Application Process For B.Pharma Lateral Entry

    • Apply directly to TIPER with a Pharmacy diploma certificate.
    • Follow the specific application process for lateral entry announced by the institute.

    Translam Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (TIPER), Meerut, offers various pharmacy programmes with admissions based on entrance examinations and academic qualifications.

    TIPER Meerut B.Pharma Admission Process

    • TIPER B.Pharma admissions are based on the performance of the candidate in U.P.S.E.E., the U.P. State Entrance Examination, AKTU, and in the Translam Entrance Examination (TEE). There are 60 seats offered. Any vacant seats would be filled solely at the discretion of the college authorities following regulations established by the university concerned.
    • TIPER Meerut B.Pharma Lateral Entry: There are provisions available for lateral entry into the second year of B.Pharma for duly qualified candidates who have obtained a Diploma in Pharmacy, with a total intake of 10 seats.

    TIPER Meerut M.Pharma Admission Process

    TIPER conducts M.Pharma programmes in various specialisations, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacognosy. TIPER Meerut admission to these programmes speaks more favorably of candidates with the B.Pharma degree and with valid GPAT scores. The intake capacity of the M.Pharma specialisations is as follows:

    • M.Pharma Pharmacology: 15 seats
    • M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: 15 seats
    • M.Pharma Pharmacognosy: 9 seats

    Candidates without GPAT will be considered second in line for TIPER Meerut admission into the M.Pharma programme.

    TIPER Meerut D.Pharma Admission Process

    D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy) running at TIPER would take in 60 seats. TIPER Meerut admissions for this programme will be held under the guidelines set forth by the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow.

    • 10th and 12th mark sheets along with certificates
    • Entrance test scorecards (U.P.S.E.E., GPAT etc.)
