TTAADC Polytechnic Institute, Tripura, was set up in 2016 and is an affiliated college situated in Khumulwng, in the state of Tripura. This government administered college affiliated to the AICTE provides engineering diploma courses. Located on a campus of 6.44 acres the institute has an intake of 502 students and a staff of 16 teachers. TTAADC Polytechnic Institute as a current offers three full-time diploma courses of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering each of which has an annual intake capacity of 60 students. The institute well emphasizes on technical education as seen through the curricular offered and the facilities availed.

TTAADC Polytechnic Institute has a variety of amenities aimed at improving the performance of the students in their course. As a part of academic infrastructure, the library comprises of 1,496 number of volumes in total of 205 book titles and the college provides a fully furnished reading hall. National Digital Library also comes under the NOC by IIT Kharagpur to help students gain more experience in digital learning. Some of the amenities for those having interest in sports and other physical activities include; indoor and outdoor sports. Included in the facility is table tennis, badminton, and carom for the indoor lovers and football, and cricket for the outdoor lovers. This institute too has sound IT facilities like fully equipped computer labs for the students to cope up with the modern world’s technology. Hygienically prepared meals are sold in a canteen on the school compound; the area is supervised to ensure that students find a place to fellowship and at the same time take a break.

On a combined basis, TTAADC Polytechnic Institute provides a total of three diploma full time courses, all of which are regular schemes. The institute admits a total of 180 students through all the courses offered in the institute. Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering each take three years and are approved for 60 students for each intake. These approaches enable the institute to keep the right student faculty ratio, to quality education in these vade fundamental engineering specializations.

TTAADC Polytechnic Institute follows a centralised and very much transparent procedure in admitting students. Diploma holders get admission into engineering degree courses through a common counseling held under the Council of the Central Selection Committee constituted by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Tripura. It is the same process applicable to all the government polytechnics in the state so that all candidates are treated equally. Through this cell, the institute consistently set appeals contacts, placement drives, and students’ training and internship schedules in different public and private sectors. In order to increase employability, mock interviews and soft skills training is conducted for final semester student before placement programme.
