University College of Engineering, Ramanathapuram (UCER) is an emerging university started in the year 2008. This constituent college of Anna University is situated in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, and it extends several engineering courses. Situated on a 25-acre campus, UCER is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and is perhaps famous for its working culture in the technical education field. There is a total enrolment of students of 616 and a teaching staff of 30, thus giving the college a desirable student-teacher ratio. UCER provides seven undergraduate engineering programmes all of which are full-time courses to meet interest in the engineering area.

Notably, UCER also provides civil engineering and mechanical engineering in Tamil language, indicating the university acknowledges the importance of equal education. The approved intake for these courses is 420 students, for each programme taking 60 students.
