AWEOSOME COLLEGE

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Electrical Engineering
Personally, I think it is the best college as everyone want to explore/enjoy the college life with books and with friends . Here u get best of infrastructure and teachers with vast of their knowledge. The placements are quite good. UIET MDU Rohtak has an excellent infrastructure. University provides various facilities for the students. The university atmosphere is very calm and eco-friendly and harmonious. Hostels facilities are extremely good. I must say!! Girls are provided with high level of security !! 1.2 FEES: Fees in this college is fair. For BTech(All branches), it's 31000 for each semester(8). so its roughly 2.8 lakhs for the course! There are some exceptions in fees.ie. forwards of university employees fee payable are 15000 each sem. For TWF(tuition fee waiver) students its 7000 each sem. 2. Infrastructure and Other facilities: 2.1 Campus. As UIET is part of Maharishi Dayanand university itself, It shares all the campus with the college of course. The campus is excellent. have lots of parks, greenery! it is roughly about freaking 665 ACRES. Have everything from cafes to Auditoriums, sports complex. A freaking big excellent Library.(Vivekananda library). UIET have its own personal library too. 2.2 Main college. College is fully wi-Fi, Connected to LAN provided by NKN SUPERCORE 8 same as any IIT. Downstream is Avg up to 50MB/s on LAN. There is a library in college itself. you can issue books from there of course. Overall college has 5 buildings. 1 is for Administration. other 4 are shared by different branches. There is a conference hall in administrative block. 3. Faculty and crowd: 3.1 Faculty. on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate faculty 5. this review on faculty is only for CSE as it is my branch. Teachers are not up to date with new technology. some are just obsessed with completing the syllabus as early as possible. however, some teachers and some nonteaching staff are really helpful. 3.2 Crowd. the crowd in college is mainly from nearby cities and Haryana itself. other cities include DELHI, UP, and Bihar, Crowd is good I would say. Mainly it's from Rohtak itself, Sonipat,Faridabad,Gurgaon.again Talking about infrastructure, then I bet you can't have that much of it anywhere at such minimum tuition fees. As it is on University premises so all facilities of MD university can be availed such as Vivekananda Library, Tagore Auditorium, Radha Krishna Auditorium and much more. Now let me familiar you with the environment and faculty. The whole environment of college is studious and all faculty members are truly dedicated to their service. They are always eager to help students at every step. Now comes the placements. This is the field where college needs to work upon. I am not saying its poor. but it is kind of average. Also, I want the reader to be aware of the fees structure. the fees are 65k per annum. Which is affordable. At last, I wanna sum up that I am honoured to be the part of such an institution.Still attending, but one of the first things I noticed was the college spirit. I've never been one to follow sports teams but I find myself all over the football games. The facilities are pretty good. Some teachers are really helpful. Although a lot can be done in other matters so as to improve the confidence of students. My college life is good. The faculty of the college is very good. The placement of the college is good. All the college fests like technical or cultural are nice. The infrastructure of the college is good. The industry exposure is very good. The hostel facility is good. It’s not too great, but it’s not terrible either. A lot of construction activity has been going on to ensure that NIT Kurukshetra is able to keep up with the recently increased intake. In the first year and second year, students are accommodated in triple-sharing and double-sharing hostel rooms respectively, while for the third and fourth years, every student has a room to himself or herself. The computers and electronics department buildings are new, and so are quite modern, with excellent laboratories and equipment. The mechanical and civil departments aren’t so well maintained, but they’ll probably have an altogether new look in a couple of years. The college has an Open Air Theatre, which is one of the favourite places around. The college has a tremendous infrastructure and gives it's students a fulfilling opportunity to rise and excel in their respective fields. Hostel life and its trend also give students a chance to mature themselves from students to adults. Some teachers are really well qualified and have a deep knowledge of their subject while some are partial and are do not deserve to be there where they are.Placement is average but for mechanical engineering students there is a great opportunity to excel in their respective fields and grab tremendous packages in great companies.

Let's start from basic things. 1.Getting Admission: 1.1 Getting admission in this college is not really hard. Admissions are done on the basis of JEE mains AIR by Haryana State Technical Education Society(HSTES). The cut off list ranges different for different branches of course. Top branches are CSE and mechanical. Cut off for CSE ranges from AIR 60000 to 250000. For mechanical it is more or less same as CSE. For other branches, it goes high up to AIR 500000. For BioTechnology,There I also a provision for direct admission on the basis of 12th marks. 1.2 FEES: Fees in this college is fair. For BTech(All branches), it's 31000 for each semester(8). so its roughly 2.8 lakhs for the course! There are some exceptions in fees.ie. forwards of university employees fee payable is 15000 each sem. For TWF(tuition fee waiver) students its 7000 each sem. 2. Mainly it's from Rohtak itself, Sonipat,Faridabad,Gurgaon. Girls to boys ratio in my class were 1:4, it was for CSE. for mechanical ahem! ahem! you know what I mean. 4.Placements and industry exposure: 4.1. Training. There are two scheduled training in the whole course. 1st. 3 weeks training after 4th sem and 2nd 6 months training in 8th sem. currently, there is no provision of on-campus training. you can just get a training letter from the office can go out for training. all depends on your hard work and learning. 4.2 Placements. on scale of 1 to 10. I would rate placements 6. Placement cell is there in college. Company visits campus mainly for CSE,CIVIL,MECHANICAL and ECE. There are no big names of companies i can say. companies with decent reputations do visit and hire. Such as. NESTLE,HCL,ATOS etc. My personal opinion is that just don't depend on campus placements, Do our own projects, explore whats trending and move out for job. That's it. 5. HOSTELS and LIFE in Campus: 5.1 HOSTELS. i would rate hostels 9 out of 10. Hostels are just excellent. with minimal fee every facility is provided. from Wi-Fi/LAN to Sports kits. There are no hard rules. you are free to move at whatever time you wish. well built Canteen and other market is there in campus.
