Vaidya Yagya Dutt Sharma Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is a well-known Ayurveda college in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2001, the college aims to provide Ayurveda education to the students within Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The college has a vast campus of 11 acres; it is strategically located to promote a conducive learning environment. The quality of education provided by the college is attested by its affiliation with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. At present, Vaidya Yagya Dutt Sharma Ayurved Mahavidyalaya enrols 526 students along with a faculty of 47 dedicated teachers, this student-teacher ratio is ideal for a personalised education. The courses offered by the college are diverse in nature. 

Vaidya Yagya Dutt Sharma Ayurved Mahavidyalaya has a library with a collection of 10,000 ayurveda related books, journals, and reference books. As practical learning is necessary for Ayurveda courses, the college is associated with two hospitals to promote hands-on learning. The college has a well maintained cafeteria that is neat and serves nutritious food for students and staff. Other facilities of the college include a gym and an ATM within the campus.

In terms of academic curriculum, the college aims to impart various Ayurvedic knowledge to the future generation. Thus, the college offers 15 courses ranging from Bachelor’s to Master’s degree. Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) is the flagship course of the college with an intake capacity of 100 and takes 5.5 years to complete. For those who wish to pursue postgraduate education, the college has both MD and MS courses of 3 year duration. The MS courses have specialisation in Shalya Tantra and Stree Roga and Prasuti Tantra.

The admission to Vaidya Yagya Dutt Sharma Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is done on the basis of the marks scored in various entrance examinations. For the BAMS course, the college takes into consideration the marks scored in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG (NEET-UG) conducted by NTA. As for MD and MS courses, NEET PG and AIAPGET exams are recognised by  the college. This process makes sure that students are admitted based on their talent and inclination towards the subject of study.
