Vivekananda School and College, Chitradurga, Karnataka, which was started in the year 1995. This co-educational institution, INC-approved, provides essential nursing training on a large area of 3 acres. Thus, the college has enrolled 366 learners in total, 330 of whom are full-time learners, and offers a strong learner-faculty ratio with 5 faculty members. The institute is known for nursing education, and it provides 3 courses that fall under 2 degrees only. It falls under programmes of general nursing and midwifery (GNM), B.Sc. nursing, and post-basic B.Sc. nursing, something that fosters different areas of nursing.

Vivekananda School and College contains various facilities aimed at improving the learning environment of the college students. Nursing programme, which has 40 seats only. Accredited practical nursing qualification is also offered through the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course. They are aimed at offering students all the theoretical background and the set of skills that are needed for successful labour activity in the sphere of nursing.
