Women’s University College of Education is a recognised university situated at Kodaikanal in the fascinating state of Tamil Nadu which was started in 2006. This is a co-educational college and affiliated to Mother Teresa Women’s University which is steadily committed to build the future of potential teachers. Situated at a mere 4 acre, the college provides students a specialised learning scenario with only 119 students enroled. Faculty strength has been established at 15 and this give befitting attention and proper education. The college enjoys the noble recognition of National council for teachers education (NCTE), which proves its concern in upholding high standard of education in training teachers.

Women’s University College of Education has facilities that enable the students improve on their knowledge in their various fields of study. The library is well stocked with books journals magazines and CD- ROMs and a collection of more than 3,223 reference books. Particularly, there are numerous specialists’ laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Psychology, and Educational Technology enables practical classes. It also has an auditorium and lecture theaters in order to support the colleges academic and co-curritcula activities. At the present time, Women’s University College of Education has only one basic course which is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This is a full-time, two-year course, which has the approved intake of a total of one hundred students, this is due to the institutes’ commitment of providing quality teachers for the society. This course is meant to impart knowledge, skills and hands-on experience on the programme in order to shape better educators. Although the college offers only this one degree at the present, this thrust enunciates a clear focus on the preparation of teachers.
