Hello
As you may know BHU offeres regular as well as paid seats for different programs. While the fees of the regualr seats is low, the fees of paid seats is around 33000 Rupees per year (only the tuition fees). Paid seat students rae not offered hostels hence they have to take admission in a hostel outside or paying guest which again has it's own costs.
I hope I could help you. All the best!
Hii there,
Dear candidate please specify which exact college you are talking about. If it's IIT BHU, then obviously you need not go to any other college.
If it's BHU college then it is also one of top ranked college in India, ranked 3rd by NIRF. Know about it here
https://www.careers360.com/university/banaras-hindu-university-varanasi
Kashi college is also one of the reputed college but doesn't provided as much scope as in bhu college. Know more here

You can compare both the colleges here:

According to my point of view, BHU is quite expensive but if you are willing to pay, then go there you will be able to explore millions of opportunities. All the best!!
Hello Parvathi
I am sorry to say but you have very little chances of getting a seat in Agriculture (BSc Hons) with this rank and the marks. As you may know there are very limited number of seats for Agriculture in BHU and some of them are allotted for admission through ICAR hence there is very tough competition. For more details you may check out https://university.careers360.com/articles/bhu-uet-cut-off
Hey friend!
I think you should try to opt mechanical engineering from IIT BHU if you want to be branch specific as mechanical engineering is better branch than metallurgy . But if you want to be college specific then you should go for IIT Kharagpur as it is one of oldest IIT'S . Placements are very good in both colleges but IIT Kharagpur is ahead of IIT BHU . Listen your heart friend .

Best of luck for your future
Hello Aspirant,
Yes you could get a government seat through state quota in the above college's as the cutoff for your category last year was 260 for BAMS and 301 for veterinary and 260 for BHMS. So considering all ratios you have good chances of securing an government seat.
Hope this helps
Good Luck
Honestly, I had a good time being a part of this college. Since I used to live in the campus Girls' Hostel, it became even more memorable. Hostel was quite inexpensive and very spacious. Usually, there were a lot of College Festivals that took place in IIT BHU and trust me it was one of the best experiences. Late-night walks, the beautiful environment and the calmness of the campus often felt like heaven. Ghats of Varanasi were cherry on the top.
The college has a very good infrastructure but hostel facilities are not excellent but can be considered fine 1. Classroom facilities are good and improving and digitalised 2. Very good library facilities both in central library and in institute library 3. Wifi is available but issues occur in the wifi 4. Hostel food not so hygienic but comparatively fine
The BHU campus is exquisite, its a mix of tradition and modernity, spreading across 1300 acres. The campus has Sayaji Rao Gaekwad central library, where students can find enormous numberof books and digital resources as it is equipped with cyber section as well. For those interested in sports, it has an indoor gymansium, swimming pool and large playgrounds. It has many seminar halls, auditoriums and a amphitheatre for all sorts of events. It has students health centre and hospitals to help students 24 x 7. there are cafterias and atms for the convenience and the campus also give the wifi facility.
