Dear Aspirants,
First you should think of that branch or field of engineering in which you are interested because it helps you in long run because placement offers based on your skills not your college. If you are looking for college for placement You can choose CSE because it always pays handsome placement offers. You can also go ECE and Electrical from Dhanbad . You can also opt for Electrical in BHU.
Best of luck
Hello Student,
Both of them are good. But out of two, IIT Madras is a better one. Both CSE and EEE are courses that are very is high in demand. Hence you need to analyse the university before deciding. Since they are IITs they are top ranked universities in the nation and there is not exactly much of a difference in the quality of education since they will be given maximum attention and facilities. But due to the ranking of various factors I would suggest this university.
And it also matters that what is your personal choice of course since they are different departments.
Here are the other factors to consider this college:
Infrastructure and college life:
IIT Madras has a good infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.
Fa culty and quality of education:
All the faculties are qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.
Placements:
Placements are good as good companies visit this college. students gets placed and opportunities of internship is provided to the students from companies.
According to our website, It is a very good rated one.

Hope you found this answer helpful.
Good luck for your future!
Yeah, I suppose you can obviously do that ,provided you perform excellently in JEE Main.Only thing which you cant do is reappear for JEE Advanced and move to another IIT.
But my suggestion would instead of planning to waste a year and work for JEE again after moving to IIT, which itself is quite difficult and is quite a tedious and monotonous, you could plan to work seriously with the curriculum in first year, and subsequently slide branches to CSE/ECE/EE and hence open a whole range of opportunities to yourself.
At IIT BHU, the Branch Change policies are comparatively relaxed and easier than its older couterparts, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and other top IITs.
One thing you can rely on in IIT BHU, is the sea of opportunities you get during Internships and Placements be it in Core/NonCore/Finance/IT/Consultancy besides the IIT tag. So, the ball's in your court, choose wisely, at the end its your career.

Dear aspirant,
The current scenario of the job market in B.Arch. hasn't been great in India. Architecture gradates are generally self employed. Around 80% architects in India open their own firms and the rest 20% are employed in those firms.
However, graduates with the tag of IITs in India definitely have more employment chances as compared to that of other institutes. IIT BHU major recruitment was carried out by the following companies :-
The summer internships saw considerable improvement in IIT BHU.
Thank you.
Hope this helped.
Hey there!
Both are some of the best Institutes in India. Firstly it depends on your choices. Do you want to pursue geology? Because it's really different from engineering which you would've initially goaled for. In terms of colleges, IIT Kharagpur is preferred over IIT BHU but both are great colleges, make a choice depending on what field you want to pursue.
Hello student.
Hope you are doing well.
The placement of BHU is very good.
Almost 85% students gets placed with a good salary.
The highest package is 2 crores PA.
The average package is around 11-12 lakhs PA.
The lowerst package is around 8 lakh.
Moreover I would recommend you to study with utmost focus, dedicated and hardwork.
Hardwork never pays off, you will definitely get a good job with a good salary.
Hope this will help you and it solves your query.
Have a great day!
Good luck!!
Hello Aditya
It is not possible for me to say anything about your chances of getting a seat in BHU in Maths hons with just your marks as I would need your rank and category as well. However I can tell you the ranks till which the people were called for counselling. If you have got a rank below 2400 then there are high chances that you will be called for counselling and, according to last few years, getting a rank around 1000 has high chances of getting a seat. Honestly, I had a good time being a part of this college. Since I used to live in the campus Girls' Hostel, it became even more memorable. Hostel was quite inexpensive and very spacious. Usually, there were a lot of College Festivals that took place in IIT BHU and trust me it was one of the best experiences. Late-night walks, the beautiful environment and the calmness of the campus often felt like heaven. Ghats of Varanasi were cherry on the top.
The college has a very good infrastructure but hostel facilities are not excellent but can be considered fine 1. Classroom facilities are good and improving and digitalised 2. Very good library facilities both in central library and in institute library 3. Wifi is available but issues occur in the wifi 4. Hostel food not so hygienic but comparatively fine
The BHU campus is exquisite, its a mix of tradition and modernity, spreading across 1300 acres. The campus has Sayaji Rao Gaekwad central library, where students can find enormous numberof books and digital resources as it is equipped with cyber section as well. For those interested in sports, it has an indoor gymansium, swimming pool and large playgrounds. It has many seminar halls, auditoriums and a amphitheatre for all sorts of events. It has students health centre and hospitals to help students 24 x 7. there are cafterias and atms for the convenience and the campus also give the wifi facility.
