Hello Vartika,

Hope you are doing well.

The BHU UET Results and cutoff 2021 are yet to be released. However, the cutoff depends on the number of factors  such as the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut off trends, number of students applying and seats availability. By knowing about the previous year cut off marks, the candidates can predict the expected BHU UET cut off and predict their chances of getting admission accordingly.

Here is the cutoff of BA Hons. course for the year 2020:

Categories                           Cutoff Rank

General                                              2607

OBC                                                    1952

SC                                                         371

ST                                                          251

Employee rank                                 1023

Since the cutoff rank for last year SC category was 371, following the trend it would be more or less around this mark itself.

Hope this helps you. All the best!

Hi

This is difficult to say as cut off depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the BHU UET exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) performance of different students in BHU UET

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your marks/rank in BHU UET etc

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>>>>>>  With 220 marks

You have good chances in BHU for bsc maths

For example,

In 2018, the lowest marks that got admission for bsc maths group was 173 marks for general category.

Hi aspirant,

The float option is provided to a candidate by JossA, in case if he/she has been allocated a seat in initial rounds and wants a higher preference by accepting the current one. Now when you get a seat of higher preference it depends upon you whether  you wish to upgrade your current one or not. You can still wait for further rounds and see if any more better choices are available but once all rounds are over, the seat will be locked and no changes will be made.

For more information on the topic read our article at JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2021 - Registration (Started), Check Dates, Process, Documents (careers360.com)

Hope it helps!!

Hello aspirant,

Hope you're doing well.

Both of these institutions are one of the most prestigious and renowned ones in our country. However, i'll highlight some key differences between these two:

>> IIT Kharagpur has a higher rank of 5 by nirf against 11 rank of IIT BHU.

>> The average placements salary is 14.2 lpa at IIT KGP against 13.6 lpa at IIT BHU.

>> IIT KGP agricultural engineering has lower fees when compared to metallurgical engineering.

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing great. As per your query  I would glad to tell you that for getting the call from faculty of management studies of bhu you need to have atleast 85 percentile in cat exam to get a call from fms for further rounds and have to pass all the sectional cut offs

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

You have not clearly mentioned about the entrance exam you are talking. BHU conducts several entrance exam every year for admission. So, unless and until you are specific about the one, we won't be able to help you. Please specify the name of the entrance exam

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference order you should consider is:

  1. Biotechnology at IIT Kanpur
  2. Chemical Engineering at ISM
  3. Chemical Engineering at Gandhinagar
  4. Chemical Engineering at Patna
  5. Chemical Engineering at Ropar
  6. Biotechnology at IIT Kharagpur
  7. Metallurgy at IIT BHU
  8. Metallurgy at IIT Gandhinagar
  9. Metallurgy at IIT Indore
  10. Metallurgy at IIT Patna
  11. Metallurgy at IIT Ropar
  12. Chemical Engineering at IIT Tirupati
  13. Chemical Engineering at IIT Jammu
  14. Chemical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur
  15. Ceramic at IIT BHU

As a branch considering the current scenario and employability status I would suggest going for Chemical engineering because of the following factors:

  1. Less Competition
  2. More opportunities
  3. More PSU recruitments
  4. Wide options to go interdisciplinary
  5. Huge scope for PhD abroad

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!
