Eligibility Criteria

For B.A.(Hons.) - Major/Minor in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics the candidate must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at High School Examinations.

The central library is a key resource, providing access to a vast collection of books, journals, and digital materials. Modern lecture halls and amphitheaters facilitate teaching and cultural events. The campus also boasts state-of-the-art facilities for various disciplines, including specialized labs for sciences, a moot court for law, and a large, well-maintained central library. BHU is currently undertaking a major infrastructure revamp, incorporating new hostels and upgrading existing academic and residential facilities to enhance student amenities while preserving its architectural heritage.

College Infrastructure

Banaras Hindu University has one of the best infrastructures in India. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, equipped with projectors and necessary facilities. The central library is very resourceful with a wide collection of books, journals, and digital materials. Laboratories are well-maintained and regularly updated with modern equipment for soil sciences and economics-related practical work. The campus also offers good sports facilities, large playgrounds, and separate indoor game centers. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with clean rooms and decent WiFi connectivity. Mess food is hygienic and offers both north and south Indian options, though taste could be improved.
