Infrastructure is pretty much decent, I will not say it's upto mark because I accept that our faculty aswell as our University lacks in infrastructure. The Committee can upgrade the infrastructure quality.
Currently I'm pursuing Ancient Indian History and I must say that the classes don't run as per schedule. There is always delays and short of time for the classes. The faculty must review the situation and work as per needs.
As per my knowledge I don't think that our department that's AIHC department don't support any placement guarantee to the students but in the other departments like foreign languages they provide very decent placements to the students.
I must agree that my course values for money. The tution fee is very less and students with lower income class background can easily get education from here.
It's the only thing that I love about Banaras Hindu University. The Campus gives you a decent and actual college life.
Very good infrastructure is present at this institute. The classes and hostels are clean and is well maintained. Regularly maintenance of hostels and classes are done. College has its own library which is the best place in the whole campus for its environment.
The academics is very good. I would be giving it a five star rating. The faculty constituting of professors and lab attendants are very supportive. Curriculum is also up to date. The classes are held timely and unnecessarily classes are not cancelled which is the best part here.
Placements here are not that good as its academics .The placements was rumored to be formed and yes it was formed . it has been working on students soft skills and behaviourial skills which are important to crack a interview and hence placements in this institute will surely be progressing in the coming days.
BHU is known for its infrastructure and architecture that's why our facilities have a great infrastructure. I am in social sciences faculty. Library faculty of social science is very good, cleaned and spacious. social science classes are running in arts faculty building. we have a canteen with name of maitri Jalpan grih, which is kept hygienic and clean.
I am studying BA history hons. With core subjects as Geography and Economics. I have great experience while studying these subjects. Professors are very well behaved and their teaching methods are very unique. All faculty curriculum is up to date. If you have any query regarding any subject you may ask your own faculties.
I am studying BA history hons. So i think there is no placement in history but if you have any foreign language in your honours or as your subject ,you may have a chance of getting some placements. If you want pursuing higher education then I think it has a great teaching faculties.
I think in BA the cost of course per year is very cheap . I am paying 1200 approx per semester while studying history hons. but if you have any practical subjects then you need to pay extra fees. There is a health center for students only. India's one of the biggest central library for students for free . So overall I think bhu is value for money.
BHU campus is very big and it's beautiful nature is a centre of attraction. It's big campus is his worst feature if you are not getting hostel. Every faculty and services are far from each other. If you are living outside the campus, you'll have to face problems in many of the surrounding areas. A fest organized each year by the name of Abhikalpan, in which students participate and learn activities like theater, singing, dancing, debate, public speaking and many other interesting activities too.
There is a lack of security recently in the college area. Many students facing issues of cycle robbery. Overall I have a great experience with bhu and its staff.
I have seen this much big campus for the first time in my life. The organisation of the faculties and all other buildings are in such a order which should exemplify to other colleges. The classes time are on schedule for every day. We have a gym, sports ground, temple, library inside the campus. The temple inside the campus is very big too. My subject laboratry are well equipped and maintained too. Parking and stationary shops are needed to be maintained properly.
My subject is history Hons. With economy and psychology in core, I selected bhu for my history Hons. Because the environment here is well developed and lay a path for my future career upto my PhD papers. Major of the teachers are very friendly and teaching is more based on practicals. Seniors here are awesome too. This University conducts seminars on national and international level too.
Placements are not to very assured of. For the bachelors degree this department is not very surely for placements. If your concern is only placement then you should see some options too. But the placement is not all gone here, very few are being placed on bachelors in this department.
We have been provided with AC library, free campus bus service, health cover of around 50,000 within a year and hospital here is one of the best in this region. The fee here is cheap, And can be affordable by most of families. Other diploma courses are also here in very low price. So overall the campus will be a valid investment of your principal.
Campus is very big. Many people get confused here on their way, specially for the first time. Roads are cleaned, A organisation name SSS works very well. Proctor office and department works very well and operate good in emergency situations. Different clubs are available for other activities to participate and learn here. Campus life is going very well here. Departments can became a headache if you will not be disciplined.
If anyhow possible, Hostel facilities should be provided to all the enrolled students here at least. We get to know about many cultures and differences because of the diversity within students. Location is the holy city of India, Varanasi. One know how the city life is, but Varanasi is all different from all others. Overall, BHU is the Capital of knowledge.
The infrastructure of this college is very old, means it's been built in 1898, so you can imagine how old it is. But when i said it's old don't confuse it with broken down or in bad condition. The old CHC building is very much preserved, some classes still feels dark and gloomy but most of the classes are very good. In addition the new lecture theatre of the arts faculty is very modern like, it feels like you are in a well infrastructure college. Washroom facilities are told to be good soon.
I want to rate it between 4 to 5 but I will go with a five because I have got some best of the faculties available here. The courses and subjects offered in b.a. is vast, like you can have in total more than 200 combination of subjects. Except only teaching faculty offers time to time workshops and diploma and other courses at very low or no price. You will like faculties here.
As I am still in my 2nd year I don't have much in hand experience with the placement cell. I am enrolled in department of foreign languages and though im my second year we have got chances for foreign scholarships and others offered scholarship through the college. And by experiences of seniors, If someone will put in a good effort they will be placed in a very good condition just after their B.A. completion.
This university does not demand a very lot of money for the course, even the hostel facilities and other facilities are very much cheaper than any other universities. The university provide your health cover, library, hostel, education, extracurricular activities; i.e. swimming classes, diploma courses, instrument learning courses (time by time) at a very low cost.
The campus is one of the largest in whole of the Asia. So you can imagine the life here. The university campus covers about 600 acres of land inclusive of the all the faculties, hostel, hospital, gymnasium, grounds, temple, etc. The campus life quality is awesome here. The campus have a lot of trees, playgrounds, quiet area. You will enjoy yourself within the campus very much.
Overall the college is very good, the only thing that can bother you here is the less availability of modern life colleges and infrastructures. Unless you are not worried about that this is the best campus around in India, one of the best faculties are provided here and a very much enjoyable and happy campus life, I have experienced here.
College infrastructure is well and good if I say about hostel Food at mess is better in main campus than south campus then if I say about hostel then south campus is relatively new so the hostel rooms in south campus are well maintained and spacious than hostels of main campus
Yeah the academic is well and good..there is no academic pressure and the college professor is highly educated...and they teaches well . And there is highly competition so make sure you do well there .
As their is no placement cell in bsc so you have to take higher studies to get into a company.. but if you want to get job or placement you have to work harder and I am sure you can get definitely get a placement of high rate
The fees is very low comparetly.. to other universities..At the time of admission, you have to pay some around 5K—7K ( tuition + caution money + hostel fee+other charges ). From second semester you will have to pay around 2K-3K per semester.
The campus life is very good.. you can make many freind and all and other are friendly. And at night you can visit the city special the Ganga at night.. it is a beautiful place really.. and many other place to visit
My own experience is very good.. because i have taken new admission and i have visited the city and whole campus is very good.. it aswsome and everyone is very freindly.. and at night the place looks amazing
The infrastructure of the college is very decent and the campus is spread across 300 acers and we also have access to the cyber library in our college it is super and Commerce facutlly also has its own hostel around 500 meters away from college building.
Honestly speaking as I heard the reputation of the college was excellent but when I joined in I got to know once you get admitted here you have to complete your study by yourself only and classes here runs very occasionaly.
We have a placement cell in our college but it is for post graduates not for undergraduates So you can get an average placement from here about 10-15k monthly on your own. But some companies pick extraordinary candidates from undergrad courses also.
The fees is almost nothing the fees for one year is around 3000 and which also we get refunded in form of scholarships.
The best thing about this college is its decent campus life once you get into it you would fall in love with chai samosa at VT.
Overall its an good college according to the fees structure and its value is very decent .
Infrastructure is good but it's very old...The buildings are the same which was there at the time of establishment. There has been no renovation.. Some new buildings are also there.. Hostels are also in poor infra conditions
The academic patterns are very good.. I am pursuing economic hons from this college... The course has been designed very beautifully to help the students achieve their goals... The professor are also good nd they have proper teaching skill
There is not at all any placement in the BHU in BA arts and social sciences.. A few courses like ems offers some placement but it offers very less salary. Placement are good in post graduate courses..
BHU gives very good academic at low price
Very good
For the most part BHU has all the necessary infrastructure but the only problem is it's not enough to support the amount of students in the campus. Classrooms are in a good shape for the most part are almost all of them are equipped with smart boards. The labs and WiFi are fully functioning and so does all the departmental libraries along with Central and Cyber library. There aren't many seats in hostels, only 30% students from each batch get hostel accomodation. The food is nutritious and clean
I'm currently studying BA Hons Economics. My subjects include Economics, Geography, History, Ancillary and language. The quality of teaching is average. The classes do run on time and the syllabus is completed on time but the professors are not easily available for doubt clearing and other educational needs. The curriculum is updated but some improvements need to be made regarding how it's organised into semesters. It prepares students to get research jobs for the most part.
For BA Hons Economics there's no placement to talk about except for some research opportunities that some students might get. Around 10% of the students get placed every year from a batch of 50 students. The highest pakage offered last year was 3 LPA for my course and the highest pakage overall was for the MBA course which was 18 LPA. The average salary offered to the previous batch was 22000 Rupees CTC. The placement is handled by the placement cell and they have made great progress.
The cost of BA Hons Economics for a year which comprises of 2 semesters is 2700 Rupees.
Yes my college has the necessary requirements for a student. All the facilities are used well and maintained. The food lacks taste often but it's not that bad it's a well equipped college with the facilities mentioned above.
The college is outstanding in the matter of academics. The professors here are skilled and well learned. Currently pursuing B.A. hons in English and the quality of teaching is excellent. Our curriculum is totally updated and knowledgeable.
Placements are quite good though it depends on the scores of the students. Usually 40% of students gets places though the percentage varies each time. Salaries vary from 20Lpa to 80 Lpa as it depends on the performance of the students.

Hello, for a 3 year LLB Degree at Banaras Hindu University, the fee is very nominal. The annual tuition fee is around Rupees 600, while total semester wise charges, including other minor fees range from rupees 1500 to 2300 per semester. This makes BHU one of the most affordable options for pursuing an LLB, compared to other private law colleges. Additional costs for hostel and mess are separate, but the overall academic expense is quite low. Hope this helps!
Hello,
For a BCom (Hons) at Delhi University (DU), you must take one language from List A and a combination of three subjects from List B, with specific combinations like Language + Mathematics + any two from List B or Language + Accountancy + any two from List B being most common. For the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the subject combination for BCom (Hons) involves taking one language and three domain subjects related to commerce in the CUET exam.
I hope it will clear your query!!
