College infrastructure is quite developed but could be developed more. Buildings are way too far away. Lacks a few things but overall is good. Natural beauty is preserved and nature is enjoyable here.
Academics is good. Teachers are hardworking. Classes are regular. Syllabus is beneficial. Although syllabus is a bit outdated and could use some revisions, the overall structure is good for student welfare
The placement is average. The training and placement cell is working really hard. Companies shows up and recruits too, but the overall turn over of companies is not as good. Would be good if students try for themselves.
More for less. Although the professional courses cost a bit much it is worth it.
Bhu itself has very good infrastructure, it provides free health facility for students above 50 thousand and provide wifi facility 4gb per day for study purpose, it has a central library near new vt temple which open 24hours.
Brilliant teachers lile Gangatharan sir who is physically disabled but have a great knowledge of history, our course is run in two different departments, one is under faculty of social sciences and the another one is under faculty of arts.
Placement facility in our course is so limited and just for formality but some students got placed with a highest package of around 8 lakhs and average package is around 3 lpa. Bhu large alumini provide strong network to students and help them for getting placed.
Ofcourse it is best and affordable.
Campus life is too good here because bhu is a reputed and historical university.
Collage have well maintained infrastructure and is has wifi facility all over the campus. All area is under cctv surveillance. My collage have many stadiums and beautiful gardens. All hostel have mess facility and provide food in good and proper hygiene condition.
Teachers are very helpful and very knowledgeable persons. They always ready to help all students and ask if you have doubt regarding the session,75% attendance is compulsory for every students, semester exam is a little bit lengthy but if you focus in class then you will achieve a chl around 7_8.
Out college has good placement rate and many companies like Dehaat and many more. And it provides 100% placement in bsc agriculture hons. The highest package is offered around 15lpa and average package is around 6-7lpa.
Yes it is totally worth it
Campus life is very joyful and so good.
Campus content good infrastructure like large playground stadium cricket court badminton court volleyball court and all other facility for indoor games. College content large buildings with greenories.
Teachers are well educated and friendly behaviour. Everything is good, like class behaviour, teachers' behaviour, children's behaviour, books, copies, studies, etc.Teachers always want students to move ahead
Placement is very less in vocational courses, most of the students depend on internship, they do internship and keep hope of placement. For internship, many companies reaches college and take interview.
Yes it is value for money because if any student wants to study then there is no any other problems. The college is eco friendly no any other pollution like sound pollution and air pollution yes you can go it's good
I am enjoying campus life very much
Our college campus is quite large. One beautiful park for exercise and Walking .Proper infrastructure for students for there all round development. And it has achieved lots of gold medal in every field.
Our teachers and faculty are vry helpful in nature and always support all students for there all round development.most of teachers are well qualified and well expressed.they clear concept and explain everything.
No any placement in b.voc course like HTM , MLT , RLM , FPM , MOM , FTAD . most of these students do internship for there theoretical practice. But in MBA , college offers highest package of 16 lakhs per annum.
High fees in compare of these facilities. Total semester fee is 21150.
Campus is beautiful and natural.

Facilities: Sports grounds, gym, common rooms, staff quarters, primary school. Utilities: Campus-wide WiFi, power backup, check dams for water. Transport: Buses to Varanasi, local autos. The academics at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), BHU focus on a blend of traditional degree programs and modern vocational courses. The campus offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs across diverse fields such as agriculture, animal sciences, commerce, management, science, environment, arts, fine arts, education, and vocational studies. Popular courses include B.Sc. (Agri), B.Voc in Food Processing and Medical Lab Technology, B.Pharm (Ayurveda), MBA (Agri-Business), M.Sc. in various sciences, and fine arts programs. The teaching follows the semester system under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), combining classroom lectures, practical laboratory work, field training, and industry-oriented projects. A key academic strength of RGSC is its emphasis on agriculture, environment, and skill development, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience through well-equipped labs, experimental farms, and vocational workshops.
Placements at RGSC BHU are still developing compared to the main BHU campus are average, with better scope in agriculture, and management courses, while many students prefer higher studies or government exams.
Good infrastructure consist of separate lecture theatre and laboratory for students library canteen park stadium are also present. Along with gym and dams. Good hostels for boys and girls providing all required facilities.
Recently I am studying in bvoc medical lab technology where I do study mainly about lab technique where we practice lab practices and learn basic practicals. Teachers are very friendly and makes study good to worth.
Placement is not that frequent in college we have to perform Insternship and later ask for offer letter from organization . University doesn't help in getting placement at all they only provide recommendation letter.
At this cost getting this practical and skill based course is worth it.
Students can explore many landscape and falls to enjoy.
The college have a well developed campus with modern facilities not only enhances learning but also contributes to the holistic growth of students... The central library is a highlight, offering a vast
Really like the atmosphere here ...... Bcz of the quiet atmosphere we are able to perform really well in academics.... the professors here are really good at teaching.... The method of teaching helps us a lot ....
The placement cell of my college is active and dedicated to bridging the gap between students and the corporate world ....Each year , reputed companies from various sectors visit the campus for recruitment...
When I first came to the campus....was really confused about my future but the professors the faculty and the people around me gave me such an environment which has really helped me to grow in my academic field. Not only in my academics but also in other co curricular aspects. College has provided me with a lot of opportunities that has helped me to improve my skills and made me a better person in life. College has provided me with a lot of resources and introduced me to newer technologies aroun
Infrastructure is good but it can be more advanced. Like the classrooms and hostel infrastructure is good but overall the technology can be made better than what it is now. The cleanliness is good but then improvement can be made.
The academics is good. But practical knowledge can be developed more. The quality of teaching is good but then again a little improvement can be made. But overall it is nice and good in gaining the knowledge required.
Placements are good in BHU. But then it is also my first time here. So I can not very surely say about it. So from what I have heard, placement is nice but some courses are again exceptional. So it depends on how much effort and individual puts.
It is surely value for money.
Outstanding infrastructure with high maintained facilities as per faculties . Infrastructure are spacious enough and well ventilated along with that they are well maintained and lookative. Along with academic blocks the residential blocks such as the hostels are also well maintained and assured along with good security.Talking about wifi and other commodities, there are personal passwords provided for each student alongwith which good connection wifi available. Acommon library consisting of different sections including both Ac and non AC . The classrooms are also well maintained such that smart boards are available and are in good working condition as per the requirement of the students. The living spaces are clean and yes the food served in the hostels are hygienic enough .
I'm currently pursuing the course medical laboratory technology under which I'm guided well . Whenever I have a doubt or anything I'm free to ask and consult to any faculty I want and I'm comfortable enough. All students are treated equally and there's no partiality among students done by any faculty of teachers.yes whatever I am made studied over here is making me job ready and enough to work on the field I want to work in .
Talking about the placements the quality of placement is good enough ,there are different placement commitees made according to different courses and accordingly companies are welcomed.Afterall the placements also depends upon the merit basis therefore more is the merit record greater are your chances to get placed .
If i talk about my course running here , the cost per year according to my course is 50-60 k .Yes I feel that I'm getting the worth behind the amount I'm paying for my course but it would be better if our course would had a registration which it deserves but due to some reason it is being detained .Hoping for the best on future but till now I feel that there is value for money as the facilities we require in our course are provided from time to time accordingly.
The overall campus life is very healthy and positive.iys the best because of its discipline, beauty, and atmosphere. The campus being rich in culture and prosperity allows student to dive into cultural activities and much more .Talking about worst features there are not much .It's sometimes the student protests that make the surrounding a little hard but it's overall good .The location of the campus is that it's situated at the middle of the city with a huge campus borderline .The teaching staff , students and local pals are very supportive, helpful and easy to reach out .The campus is safe enough and talking about medical emergencies it has its own medical College with good 24hr medical services.
I would like to conclude my review with a compatibility of both good and bad side about the campus and college .The college itself is a great heritage for the country and accordingly it has great success rates as well. The tag is enough for any student to get a prosperous future in future .it's that the way you spend your college life here .People here are friendly and cooperative enough to support you so that you thrive the best .So it's your choice to take the good or bad from this college .
Hi,
For Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Banaras Hindu University M.Sc. Soil Science / Soil & Water Conservation, official median and highest placement packages are not clearly published course-wise by BHU.
But based on available RGSC placement data, the average/median package across PG courses is usually around Rs 3–5 LPA. Highest
Hi Avinash,
You may choose BHU if you prefer traditional academic prestige and affordability or choose Christ University if your priority is modern, practical-oriented, and industry-linked education.
