The infrastructure at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University (RMLAU) in Faizabad offers a mixed picture. On the positive side, the university has invested in robust IT infrastructure: the latest Annual Quality Assurance Report notes a 10 Gbps fibre-based connection on the main campus (and 2 Gbps at the IET campus), round-the-clock internet access, dual data-centres and support for academic and research applications. The classrooms and library in many departments are described as spacious and decent. However, several student reviews point out serious shortcomings. Hostel and mess facilities receive repeated criticism: bathrooms described as poorly maintained, unhygienic mess food, and inadequate hostel amenities. Many departments also note that WiFi access, labs (especially for non-engineering courses) and canteen/medical facilities are inconsistent or lacking. Additionally, the university is reportedly facing land-loss issues owing to the development of the airport at Ayodhya, which may hamper future expansion of infrastructure and provision of new buildings. In summary: while RMLAU shows strength in network/internet infrastructure and has decent basic teaching spaces, students should be cautious about hostel and residential amenities, as well as practical-lab support in certain departments. There is potential, but also room for noticeable improvement.
