The foremost concern for a student while taking admission is regarding the living conditions of the place. So basically, talking about the environment, Haridwar provides you with a pleasant atmosphere to boast about. About the hostel facilities:- You will be allotted hostel in the very first year but second year onwards you need to be in the meritorious students list to avail this facility, as the seats are limited. No need of mentioning the condition and quality of mess food, it's the same throughout. But there would no compromise on health basis, that's for sure. You get bus service for the first year. Talking about the faculty, I have had the opportunity to learn under some very reputed teachers. They give you enough space to explore yourself. Lab facilities are always up to date, especially if you are planning to take admissionsns in the mech branch. No ragging bullshit, but you need to respect your seniors. They will the one who help you when in need. Lastly, you get enough time for yourself to study not just your curriculum but since extra things as well.

This college should be your last choice when you are looking for a government college. The atmosphere is very bad and the infrastructure is bad for engineering brand. Rest branches have good. The engineering section is 12KM far from hostel and main campus and is very small. The faculties are just okay and not very talented. We also get local students which is pathetic. Please don't get admission in this college.

Good points first -0 ragging -very supportive seniors that's it Now onto the real deal, the bad points, or the points that actually define this college -the faculty is average, there are some teachers that are exceptional and there are those that are pathetic -the college campus is 7 km from the hostel, college doesn't provide bus after the first year, at least not at a reasonable price, which means you have to travel daily in public transport that is almost always very crowded -after clearing the first year, you have to score good in order to get accommodation in the senior's hostel, wanna calculate? Only 150 out of all the students in a second, third and fourth year can be accommodated in this hostel. Still not wondering what kind of engineering college this is? Don't worry there's more. -our honorable dean can barely speak English and is not from a technical background -infrastructure is nothing short of a joke, a very bad joke on the future of the students studying here, just google and see for yourself. -if you're very talented, you might get placed, given that companies don't stop recruiting from here which doesn't sound impossible. After all the college is supposed to provide them at least a separate block for interviews and tests and decent internet connectivity, which they don't -the administration is corrupted, nobody does anything for the students here, we are all by ourselves here. -this university doesn't believe is a co-ed system, do I even need to tell how stupid this is? If you're thinking about joining this college, please don't, don't play with your future. If you have any other choice, go for it, anything is better than the worst, if you don't, just prepare for jee again.

Gurukul Kangri is a good college for engineering. It is just below or equal to an NIT. I found myself becoming a self-dependent student in these 4 years of my graduation with Gurukul Kangri. Its infrastructure and an eco-friendly campus filled a self-creation inside me. I enjoyed my whole 4 years with Gurukul Kangri. Its placement is good but not best means Avg package is 5 lacs pa.I got selected in TCS. Various technical and non-technical events were organised the time to time at my time. Thus, Gurukul Kangri is a good college for engineering.
