48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program offered by the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam. the duration of the B.Tech programme will normally be 8 semesters, The award of the B.Tech shall be in accordance with the regulations of the Academic Advisory Committee / Senate of the Institute.
B.Tech course in Computer Science is offered. The classes for the first batch commenced in August 2015. Senior faculty members from other Institutions of National Importance like, IITs, IISERs, NITs etc. are mentoring the vibrant faculty team of IIIT Kottayam. Only people with a Ph.D degree from reputed National institutions and having a flare for teaching and research are engaged by IIIT Kottayam. Presently, the institution is mentored by IISER-TVM and the faculty and staff of IISER-TVM is extending all administrative and academic support to IIIT Kottayam.

The minimum academic qualification for admission through Central Seat Allocation (as per MHRD, Govt. of India orders) to IIIT Kottayam (hereafter, the Institute) is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent.
Admission to the B.Tech programme in any year will be based on performance in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and HSC examinations as per Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) guidelines (subject to change as per MHRD, Gov of India, orders).
The permanent campus of IIIT Kottayam is situated in the serene area of Valavoor, Kottayam. The campus is still developing but includes essential facilities such as well-equipped labs, classrooms, a library, hostels. Since it is a newer institution, some infrastructure aspects might still be in progress, but there has been consistent development. Classrooms and Hostels are equipped with high-speed internet connectivity. Many classrooms have smart boards and projectors. Computer Labs, Electronic Labs, Networking Labs, And IOT Robotics Labs. Hostels are cleaned daily and mess follows strict hygiene protocols with regular checks and audits
