Hello Pavan!
There are 3 channels through which you can get into IISER.
THe students applying through SCB channel must give IISER entrance exam. 50% of total seats in IISER are filled through KVPY and JEE advanced channels. You need to score cutoff marks in any of the above mentioned exam to apply for IISER.

Hello Pavan!
Let me tell you first about IISER exam pattern. IISER exam consists of 4 section: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. There are 15 questions asked from each section for the total duration of 3 hours of the exam. 3 marks are awarded for every right answer and 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer. No marks awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.
Now, it is not compulsory to attend math section, however, if you dont attend, then you will be loosing 15 marks for sure. So I suggest you to study math too. Join any coaching centre or if you can study on your own. There are several materials available online now.

Hello!
Please be clear with the fact that no cutoff score or rank is released by the IISERs. It is just the assumptions by the candidates that surface after the IAT examination after the answer keys are released.
In that context, for general category about 90+ was required to score in IAT for at least securing a seat in their second preferred IISER(in the 1st or 2nd round of allotment) and about 80+ for their third or fourth preference (after third round of allotment).
For OBC-NCL and other reserved categories about 80+ marks made their 1st or 2nd preffered IISER for them in 2019. About 70+ marks will be required to secure a seat in the newsest IISERs(Bpr and Tirupati). In the last rounds of allotment, general category students with 75+ marks got BS economics and engineering studies in IISER Bhopal.
So it is difficult to say what was the base marks in 2019 to get an IISER because they are just assumptions.
Anyway, be patient till the last rounds of allotment if you are in a hope of scoring 75 and above.
All the best!

Hi Esha!
There are three channels of admission into the IISERs(Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvanthapuram, Berhampur and Tirupati) for undergraduate BS-MS program:-
If you are a KVPY Fellowship holder - SA, SB or SX - then you can apply for admission to the IISER BS-MS Program via the KVPY stream.
The eligibility (the minimum rank required in JEE Advanced for IISER admission committee to consider your application) is below 10000.
For SCB, you first have to score more than a specified cut-off in your 12th Board Exams to be eligible to give the SCB exam(top 20 percentile). But in 2020, due to COVID-19 crisis, the cutoff for boards is relaxed upto 60%.After clearing the eligibility criteria you can sit for the exam. Again just like any other exam the cut-off varies every year. (PS~There is no actual release of cutoffs for the SCB stream).
Also after you complete your bachelor's you may join IISER'S for Integrated PhD, or MS by Research. For this you have to qualify exams like IIT-JAM or JEST.
The results of IAT is released on the official website. However, it is just a list of roll numbers that are to allotted seats in the IISERs(no marks or rank is released). Same happens for KVPY and JEE Advanced, only list of the roll numbers of the selected candidates is released.

The IISER 2020 Admission through KVPY stream has already begun and the IISER Aptitude test 2020(through SCB stream) has ended and the seat allotment will soon begin. Only stream left is JEE Advanced.
All the best!
Hi,
Since you haven't specified your category and the total rank, it is difficult to find out about your chances in IISER. If you are general category, you have to score a rank below 10000 to get into any IISER. For IISER Pune, you have to score around 6000.
But if you are OBCNC, SC, ST or PD , then your category rank should be within 10000, to join IISER. This is as per previous year statistics.
