72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Indian Institute of Technology Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

M.Tech. or equivalent in Electrical Engg. / Control System Engg. / Power System Engg. / Electrical Machines / Power Electronics and Drives / High Voltage Engg. / Instrumentation Engg. / Power Apparatus & Devices / Electronics with B.Tech. or equivalent in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engg.
Admission Details
A candidate can get qualified for the interview through any of the following modes
- Valid GATE score,
- Valid NET rank
- Qualify in IIT(ISM) JRF Entrance Examination (JRFEE)
- B.Tech from IITs in respective discipline with OGPA/CGPA 8.5 and above.
