Spread over 218 acres of land at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad strives to provide the best education along with world-class facilities to its students. IIT Dhanbad has 9 hostels on the campus having a facility for accommodation for girls and boys separately.

IIT Dhanbad facilities and infrastructure consist of a central library, sports arenas, well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, hostels, recreational centres, and many more. The Central Library which is open 12 hours a day has a huge database of books, journals, thesis, research papers, and many more.

Medical/Hospital
The state-of-the-art health facilities available in the college, in addition to a 24*7 ambulance service and campus security.
Gym
The college has Gym facility for the students.
Library
The Central Library of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) is a seven-storey fully air-conditioned building. The central library has a facility of a reading hall on the seventh floor and a cafeteria on the ground floor.
Sports
The college has sports facilities for all students. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as badminton, football, basketball, table tennis, etc are available for the students.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Cafeteria
This is one of the oldest canteens of the institute. It has a juice centre, stationery shop and a fruit counter.
Auditorium
Penman Auditorium: This auditorium is completely air-conditioned and is used for organizing various events, competitions, workshops, intern talks and the event “Hackfest”.
Wifi
The college has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students.
Convenience Store
The college has the convenience store facility for students.(like, photocopying facility & stationery etc.)
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
Boys Hostel
The college has a boy’s hostel facility that provides good hostel accommodation for the students. All the necessary facilities are available for the students.
Girls Hostel
Separate hostels are available for the girls' students. Warden is available to take care of the students. Recreational facilities such as sports, common room, etc are available for the students.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure and all the equipment, along with all the facilities, are impressive in our college. There are Wi-Fi and Smart boards in the classrooms along with in the sports facilities and also in the hostel rooms.

Excellent infrastructure, Very good arrangement of all the labs, Nice ambience of the all the classrooms and labs, AC installed wherever required, Proper ventilation in all the classrooms and big halls

It's a very good college . Coming to its infrastructure it has a very good infrastructure . Good transportation services , health services , emergency services . Has a good internet facility . Overall good.
