72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by Indian Institute of Technology Indian School of Mines Dhanbad. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
M.Tech. or equivalent in Mining Engg. / Opencast Mining / Mine Planning & Design / Rock Excavation Engg. / Geomatics / Underground Space Technology / Rock Mechanics/Civil Engg. / Engineering Geology; OR B.Tech or equivalent in Mining Engg. / Civil Engg. / Opencast Mining/Mining Machinery/Environmental Engg; M.Sc. Tech. (Applied Geology); M.Sc. (Geospatial Science).
Admission Details
A candidate can get qualified for the interview through any of the following modes
- Valid GATE score,
- Valid NET rank
- Qualify in IIT(ISM) JRF Entrance Examination (JRFEE)
- B.Tech from IITs in respective discipline with OGPA/CGPA 8.5 and above.
