ISI Kolkata is the oldest one so it is perceived as the best. There are no engineering courses offered. It is a statistical institute and candidates can pursue B.Stats for which there is an entrance test in Mathematics. There is no comparison with JEE Main or advanced as the courses are different and the entrance exams too. check http://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/

Can you specify for which course in ISI you are asking for? There are 2 UG courses available that is B Stats Hons and B Math Hons.

Hi actually ISI Kolkata is the oldest therefore most of the students prefer it. The entrance exam for this comprises of only Maths at 10+2 level. So comparison with JEE Main will not be right I guess. The placements are for PG students I think. All B.stat students get admissions to M.Stat on completion of the course. There are also no options as this is not like engineering. It is a statistical institute for research and such. Check this http://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/.

As of now, the dates for 2018 session is not released but as per previous year information the online regsitration will be starting in the month of February and it should be over in the month of March itself. Also, the test should be held in the month of May as last year it happened on 14th-May. Apart from this, you can go through the below provided link to know the syllabus and previous year papers for B.Math -
