A Bachelor degree (BA/B.Sc. degree) with Geography as a subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) having secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in case of General and OBC categories and 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories are eligible to apply.

IGNTU campus is spacious and quiet, good for MA Geography students. Classrooms are decent and suitable for small group discussions. The geography lab is available for practical work like map reading and data study. The library is helpful for research and reference books. Hostels are simple but comfortable enough for long stays.
