Hello .
Yes ,you heard it right. AIIMS and JIPMER have been eliminated and NEET is going to be conducted by NTA as a common entrance test to evaluate the students and assign the particular medical college basing on the marks and the ranks scored. NEET is going to be conducted on 3rd of May,2020. Try harder and score good marks to grab a seat in the best medical college.
All the best.

Hello Aspirant !

Greetings!

No dear , there will be no separate exam for aiims and Jipmer as both aiims and Jipmer examination have been scrapped off and now these are included in neet, so now admission to all the medical colleges in India including all the aiims and Jipmer will be based on the basis of marks/percentile /rank obtained by you in neet examination, thus neet is single entrance exam i.e only gateway to all the medical colleges for mbbs, bds, bhms, bams etc.

You can check the neet 2020 eligibility criteria provided below :-

  • To be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old by December 31st, 2020 .

  • You should get at least 50 % aggregate in pcb in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories , 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd category.

  • There's no upper age limit for neet 2020.

You need to know that  NEET 2020 application form will be released by nta on December 2, 2019 in online mode at ntaneet.nic.in and the last date to register and fill the application form of NEET 2020 is December 31, 2019 , so you need to make sure that you fill the application form between these dates and the neet examination will be conducted on May 3, 2020.

Hi Gitanjali,
For JIPMER OBC category minium of 40% mark is required and is considered as the cut off mark for admission. In the 2018 78,053 candidates cleared the exam. There are 2 campuses for JIPMER, one is in Pondicherry and the other is in Karaikkal.
A total of 150 seats are available.
In the year 2018 OBC rank was between 13 -51, and in 2017 16- 60 are qualified at Pondicherry campus of JIPMER.
You can get more information from this link

Hope you get it,Thank you.

Mahi, at this point time, the only thing that we are all certain is that AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct admissions based on NEET score. The counselling process is yet to be notified. So anything at this point in time is just guess work. There are chances that AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct their own further tests like AFMC or CMC for finalising their Candidates. AIIMS and JIPMER might release their own cut offs and merit lists. Therr are few Medical Colleges in India who retain their own selection process. So that might be the case with AIIMS and JIPMER as well. So, we need to wait to see how things are unfolded. But of you look at AFMC, the seats are filled up through All India Counselling where AFMC conducts ToelR, Psychological Assessment Test and final Interview. The basis for all this remains NEET score. AIIMS and JIPMER might also follow the same process.

Mahi, what needs to be remembered is that AIIMS and JIPMER are conducting admissions with NEET score and not the other way round. And NTA hasn't released any official notification regarding any change in the syllabus or exam pattern. So at this point in time, any guess work will remain speculative. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to as many as 1 lakh MBBS seats across India. And just because AIIMS and JIPMER are admitting students through NEET doesn't mean it should change the pattern that has been in force until now. So until either NTA or AIIMS or JIPMER releases any official notification, the syllabus and pattern of NEET shall remain unchanged.

Hello there!

Greetings!

Hello.
In JIPMER for the admission of MPAT, a candidate must have secured a required rank in one of the following entrance exams.
  • All India post graduate psychotherapy entrance test.
  • CET  entrance exam for master program
  • Guru Govind Singh indraprastha University psychotherapy entrance exam.
  • JIPMER all India entrance exam.
Best of luck.

Hi Priya,

You are correct in stating that the AIIMS and JIPMER entrance examination have been cancelled for this year and NEET scores will be considered for admissions to these colleges. Due to this, the competition level will definitely be higher than usual. Due to the fact that NEET scores are calculated in percentile, it is all about relative performance. The difficulty level will depend upon your preparation level and nothing else.
