An allied college which came into existence in the year 2008 is Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agriculture is situated at Talsande, Kolhapur (Maharashtra). This institution for boys and girls is recognised by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the college offers specific training in agricultural science. Located on the 100 acre land, the college has a total student population twenty two faculty members and 522. At present, the institute has only one undergraduate programme, which is in the area of agriculture to give learners with interest in the agricultural field.

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agriculture, Talsande, mainly provides complete solutions for the course B.Sc Agriculture Hons. This is a full-time course of four-years duration for which the institution has been granted an intake capacity of one hundred and twenty students, which the institution takes proudly as the capacity to offer the best agricultural education. The programme therefore aims at imparting to the students extensive knowledge and practical skills with regard to different areas of agriculture in order to enable the students to undergo different types of jobs in the subject.
