• Candidates can register themselves by visiting the official website of NID.
• Registration for NID DAT 2026 can be done with an email ID and mobile number. 
• Fill up the application form with the required details and documents.
• Pay the required application fee of  Rs 3,000 for General/General-EWS/OBC-NCL (Rs 1,500 for the reserved category).
• Candidates who qualify for NIT DAT 2026 must register for the counselling process.

National Institute of Design admission exam, known as the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), is conducted in two stages. The final selection is based only on the score of the NID mains. • The candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria.

• Candidates must appear in the NID DAT entrance examination and secure a valid score.

• Shortlisted candidates for NID Assam B.Des admissions will receive the allotment letter.

The final step of the NID admission 2026 process is NID counselling. Students shortlisted through the DAT Mains must attend the counselling process. Document verification will be done during NID counselling, and seats will be confirmed after paying the NID Ahmedabad admission fees.
