NIMHANS Bangalore Facilities

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore provides many facilities to its students. NIMHANS Bangalore facilities include a library, sports facilities, medical facilities, IT infrastructure and many other facilities. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore provides residential facilities for girls and boys students. These hostels have all the basic amenities.

The library present on campus has all the necessary academic resources to help the students with their studies. NIMHANS Bangalore facilities also include sports, an auditorium, a medical centre, and many others. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences provides medical facilities to the students.

Boys Hostel
NIMHANS Bangalore has a separate hostel for boys. NIMHANS Bangalore boys hostel is situated near the administrative block of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science Bangalore. The boys’ hostel has 81 single occupancy rooms as well as 18 cubicles and 4 dormitories.
Girls Hostel
The institute has a separate hostel for female students named Cauvery Hostel. The hostel has 110 rooms, both single and double occupancy which can accommodate 179 trainees. Most of the rooms have attached bathrooms. NIMHANS Bangalore girls hostel facilities include mess facilities, study hall, housekeeping, hot water facility etc. In addition to this, the institute has a Kabini Hostel complex inaugurated on 18 August 2012, accommodation in this hostel is on a single occupancy basis. Kabini Hostel complex has six floors, consisting of 32 rooms. In total, the hostel complex has 192 rooms.
Medical/Hospital
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore has a medical centre that meets the medical needs of students, faculty and staff.
Library
NIMHANS Bangalore has a well-stocked library that caters to the information needs of students as well as the research requirements of faculty members.
Sports
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore offers various sports facilities to its students.
I.T Infrastructure
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore offers all the necessary IT-related services.

At NIMHANS (Bengaluru), hostel facilities are available for research staff like JRFs, SRFs, RAs, and project fellows, but allotment depends on availability and priority.

Facilities:

Separate hostels are available for male and female research staff (like Bhavani Hostel and Staff Hostels).
Rooms are generally shared and include basic amenities
