Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

Admission Details

Admission of NIT Hamipur is based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). There is no need to apply separately to each NIT. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, comprising of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Joint Admission Board (JAB) conduct and supervise the admission process of candidates to various NITs through centralized online counseling process.

NIT Hamirpur has a scenic and peaceful campus surrounded by hills. The academic buildings are modern and equipped with smart classrooms and advanced labs. Hostels are spacious with good Wi-Fi, laundry, and common room facilities. The library is well-stocked and digitally accessible. Sports grounds and gym are also available.

College Infrastructure

NIT Hamirpur has a beautiful, spacious campus nestled in the hills of Himachal. The academic blocks are well-equipped with modern labs and classrooms. The hostels are well-maintained, with Wi-Fi and common room facilities. The library is large and digitally accessible. Sports and recreational facilities are also impressive.

College Infrastructure

Here is a pleasant atmosphere and the weather conditions are very good as the college is situated on mountains. The infrastructure of the college is very good and wifi is installed in every classroom and other areas also outside hostels as well as in the hostels. Hostels are very clean and hygienic, rooms are spacious and food quality is also good. Here are various committees of cultural and other events to conduct various fun activities throughout the year. There is a student health care centre for medical treatment.
