In my opinion, infrastructure here is normal because they lacks in good hostels, good mess management and as I heard that they are currently providing only rice in lunch not roti .So overall average infrastructure.
Academics is good in content , curriculum for mostly all branches but for some new branches they mess up with there courses like MnC branch the course structure is not properly structured .And also they lacks in good professor's.
Placements are average for us but for b.tech I know that they provide strong placements and companies comes from different domains like for quant , tech , electronics etc.And also they provide very good internships opportunities to all.So overall in my opinion that is very good.
Value for money is also good.
Infrastructure here is very average as compared to other IIT's because of lack of some necessary equipments like induction, iron , heater etc.And for especially PHD Students the issue is they are getting the rooms in b.tech students that disturbs them from there studies. So overall lacking in hostel, mess management.
I can say academics is good ,because here good labs are present, good content for studies was structured and well maintained but a core and big problem is here is about the professors which is that mostly professors are not mean to teach the course they are teaching .Overall good because of everything else like facilities available here.
Placements are also average because here mostly the companies come from tech domain and less companies come from mechanical domain but here by some professor's network or contacts in companies they help us to get a good project and which will eventually Good for our placements and also for good job in R&D.
Good value for money
infrastructure is very normal, not too fancy but due to new hostels are contructing and all the 2nd years are shifted there which makes more space for students that is very good and also the facilities there are amazing .So overall very good.
Academics is very good because of the content they provide is very real-world applicable to you.Basically you are doing things that you need to learn or do for interviews in there courses so thats a very nice points .
Here comes the cherry on top,as the stats says it's placements are very high on job more than 98.7% of colleges for engineering in india and a fact is that i observe is companies are increasing every year which is very good thing .
Definetly value for money for me .And you as well .
It is boring though for me but you can find a way to deal with it.
Honestly speaking the expectation you will be having regarding the infrastructure are not like those of an premium college of India; rather, it has some good vibes for sure but lacks hostel facilities, which makes me feel congested.
I genuinely found that here the competitive environment and course structure and curriculum are of top-notch level and along with that here we can see a good amount was gone to labs and all teaching facilities expect for the teaching staffs that usually no one expects .So overall it is among top colleges in academics.
Payments are also good ,because i get a very well package at my b.tech time but i refused because to follow my passion which is in reasearch and here the R & D also provides a good network to MNC's for R&D which will definetly beneficial for me and all PHD's in Mathematics.
It is a very good value for money college.
Campus life sucks due to heavy competitive environment .
Infrastructure is not good i have gone to many iit's but this has the worst infrastructure amongst them and a proof of that is here hostels have rooms for 2 people of like bathrooms size which is the worst and bad thing i have seen. And especially those bunker beds .
Good academics with bad teaching staffs in my opinion i would say the academics here is good or very good in everything else expect for professors a 2 or 5 proffs are good at what are need to be everyone else is ok we are getting our salary nothing else neeeded.
I got a very good package so obviously i will praise the placements and cnp( career and placements) cell at iit mandi is above good and also here the environment is very competitive. which is also a main reason for me to get a high end salary.
Basically if i have to say the infrastructure here isn't what you'd expect from a premium IIT,specially for a masters or PHD students who spend most of their time in labs. The biggest issue is definetly the congested hostel and lacking in important facillities like AC ,in rooms with both temperature conrols cold and hot.So it is not good.
The academics can be improved by hiring more perfect professors because everything else is very well structured and maintained but the big issue is with the faculties ort teaching staff which is not of the level of IIT's should have.
Placement is good in my opinion beacuse if you have done your academics avg too ,you can get jobs or interns based on your skills because a lot of different varietiees of companies come here for students or talents .
Infrastructure is not too good ,there are some major problems like hostel rooms spacing which itself is a big problem and along with this some important hostel facilities are not provided to students like heaters in room which is must because of the weather here which is very cold.
Here academics is quiet well structured and well maintained and updated to the latest but the only reason for 4 star is the faculties here are mostly not satisficable to there post and a very few no. is justicable that why they are here.So that is all for academics .
Placements is the main reason everyone will come for and it was here so in my case too the same reason and it is because the placements are quite high like for CSE avg is 32+ LPA which is very good for b.tech and there visits MNC's too for masters's and PHD scholars .
Overall it is more than good value for money college.
not quiete good for me .
IIT Mandi has a beautiful and well developed campus located in the mountains, which makes the overall environment very peaceful. The classrooms are modern with projectors and decent seating. Laboratories are well equipped. Library has sufficient academic and research resources. Hostels are comfortable and clean with WiFi available. Overall the infrastructure is good and continuously improving.
I am pursuing Engineering Physics, which is quite a concept heavy branch. The curriculum focuses strongly on fundamentals, mathematics and analytical thinking. The curriculum is fairly updated and includes interdisciplinary exposure like coding and AI/ML related subjects.
Placements at IIT Mandi are decent, especially for CSE and related fields. The average package is good overall, but it varies significantly by branch. The placement cell is supportive and organzses training sessions, but individual preparation is very important.
The college offers strong value for money. There are good opportunities for research, internships and skill development. If a student actively uses the available resources, the return on investment is quite high.
Campus life at IIT Mandi is unique due to its location. The surroundings are scenic and calm. There are many clubs and societies, providing plenty of opportunities to explore interests. The campus is safe and the community is generally supportive.
Infrastructure is average if I judge on parameters like hostels capacity and current no of students are been there is make congested feeling beside this new hostels are made available for Students which will make a major issue gets fixed.
Academic is very good but the main and fundamental problem is that the professors are not aware how to teach and also lacks in communication properly in English.Beside this everything is good and necessary facilities are there.
Placements are very good for a b.tech student as the ratio are quite good and companies are seeking for every role in every domain also companies are increasing year wise which is very great for the b.tech students.
The infrastructure is good for research scholars like me here , Although there are some improvements (i.e heaters in rooms ) that will make the infrastructure so much better and more like normal conditions.otherwise it is perfect.
If I talk about academic wise then here resources, funds and projects are available or provided by professors but the important thing is that professors lack in experience of teaching in my opinion.Else everything good.
Placements of ph.D are inclined towards research role companies, academic or industrial R&D position. Also here the network of professors also help scholars to directly do projects in the company and get placements from there.
Hy,
When comparing different IITs and their respective programs, it's essential to consider factors such as placement statistics, career opportunities, faculty, research facilities, and overall reputation.
Hello, aspirant,
