JUIT Solan Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Before applying for JUIT Solan admissions 2026, candidates must ensure that they meet the JUIT Solan admission eligibility criteria. Jaypee University of Information Technology admissions are offered to the BBA, B.Tech, BCA, BSc, MBA, MSc and M.Tech.

• Students are required to appear for the JEE Main examinations for B.Tech admissions at Jaypee University of Information Technology.
• To get M.Tech admissions at JUIT Solan, students are required to score good marks in the GATE examinations.

• The GATE 2027 examination will be conducted from February 6 to 21, 2026.

JUIT Solan B.Tech admission 2026 will be done based on merit in the entrance exam or merit in the qualifying examination. JUIT Solan B.Tech entrance-based admission depends on the candidates’ performance in JEE Main. However, merit-based admission to B.Tech is offered based on the performance of candidates in the Class 12 examination. For JUIT Solan M.Tech admission, candidates have to either appear for GATE or the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) conducted by JUIT Solan itself. 

JUIT Solan M.Sc admissions are based on the candidates’ scores in the past qualifying examination. JUIT Solan PhD admissions are based on a written test followed by a personal interview conducted by JUIT. Candidates with NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national-level examinations are exempted from the written test. Final admission is offered after verification of documents and JUIT Solan admission fee payment.

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, offers a total of 13 undergraduate programmes. JUIT Solan courses at the UG level include B.Tech, B.Sc Hons, BCA and BBA. The duration of JUIT Solan B.Tech courses is 4 years. 

JUIT Solan UG Courses Selection Criteria

• For the JUIT Solan B.Tech admission process, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.
• Then, eligible candidates must complete the JUIT Solan application process.
• Candidates can get JUIT Solan B.Tech admission through two modes only- valid JEE Main scores and merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 examination).
• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% of seats are filled through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.
• Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the common counselling process conducted at JUIT for all its campuses. 
• Candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices and choose JUIT Solan as their preferred university for JUIT Solan B.Tech admissions.
• The counselling dates are updated on the official website of the university, and the same shall be notified to shortlisted candidates through email only.
• The final selection will be determined by the following criteria: choices filled by candidates, participation in the counselling, document verification and admission fee payment.
• For admissions in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programmes, 50% of seats shall be filled based on JEE Main All India Rank, and 50% of seats shall be filled based on 10+2 marks with Biology/ Biotechnology as a core subject in the 10+2 examination.
• For JUIT Waknaghat (Solan), 60% of seats shall be allotted through JEE Main All India Rank. The remaining 40% of seats shall be filled through counselling based on merit, drawn on the basis of marks of the 10+2 examination.
• 10% of seats at JUIT Solan are reserved for Himachal Pradesh (HP) category candidates who have qualified for their 10+2 examination from Himachal Pradesh.

Jaypee University of Information Technology Admissions 2026 for B.Sc Hons/ BCA/ BBA 

• Eligible candidates can apply for JUIT Solan B.Sc/BBA admissions.
• Admissions to 50% of the seats will be granted to both courses based on the candidates' merit in the qualifying examination, that is, Class 12th marks.
• The students who have qualified for CUET UG will be considered for JUIT Solan B.Sc and BBA admissions for the remaining 50% of the total seats.
• Shortlisted candidates can finalise their admissions by paying the admission fee and submitting their documents for verification purposes, after which their seats will be secured.

• Before applying for JUIT Solan M.Tech admission 2025-26, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.
• Then, eligible candidates must fill out the JUIT Solan application form and pay the application fee.
• Candidates have to appear for GATE, and in the case of non-GATE candidates, the university conducts an entrance test known as the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET).
• Candidates will be selected based on their marks scored in the GATE or PGET examination.
• Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the JUIT Solan fees for the course as the last step in the admission process.

JUIT Solan M.Sc Admission Process 2026

• For JUIT Solan M.Sc admission, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.
• Next, candidates are required to fill out the application form available on the official website of JUIT Solan.
• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination should provide their marks from the qualifying exam along with the application form and attach a photocopy of the marks sheet. 
• JUIT Solan M.Sc admission is offered based on the marks of the qualifying examination results. 
• Later, selected candidates will be offered provisional admission subject to the production of eligibility certificates and the deposit of the academic fee.

• Candidates are required to meet the eligibility requirements for JUIT Solan PhD admission.
• Eligible candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the application fee.
• Then, candidates have to appear for a written test followed by a personal interview conducted by JUIT.
• JUIT Solan PhD admission shall be based on a written test followed by a personal interview of the shortlisted candidates only.
• The NET/SLET/CSIR (JRF) or equivalent national-level examination-qualified candidates are exempted from the written test.
• It is to be noted that each eligible candidate will have to give a short presentation before the interview committee in the area of research interest.
• The final admission is offered after verification of documents and JUIT Solan admission fee payment.
