Jaypee University of Information Technology B.Tech Admissions 2026

JUIT Solan B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Main examination. Candidates can see the Jaypee University of Information Technology B.Tech admission process below.

• For the JUIT Solan B.Tech admission process, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates must complete the JUIT Solan application process.

• Candidates can get JUIT Solan B.Tech admission through two modes only- valid JEE Main scores and merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 examination).

• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, 50% of seats are filled through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through merit in the qualifying examination.

• Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the common counselling process conducted at JUIT for all its campuses. 

• Candidates are required to fill in their preferred choices and choose JUIT Solan as their preferred university for JUIT Solan B.Tech admissions.

• The counselling dates are updated on the official website of the university and the same shall be notified to shortlisted candidates through email only.

• The final selection will be determined by following criteria like choices filled by candidates, participation in the counselling, document verification and admission fee payment.

• For admissions in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programmes, 50% of seats shall be filled on the basis of JEE Main All India Rank and 50% of seats shall be filled on the basis of 10+2 marks with Biology/ Biotechnology as a core subject in 10+2 examination.

• For JUIT Waknaghat (Solan), 60% of seats shall be allotted through JEE Main All India Rank. The remaining 40% of seats shall be filled through counselling based on merit, drawn on the basis of marks of the 10+2 examination.

• 10% of seats at JUIT Solan are reserved for Himachal Pradesh (HP) category candidates who have qualified for their 10+2 examination from Himachal Pradesh.

Jaypee University of Information Technology B.Sc Hons and BBA Admissions 2026

JUIT Solan B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Main examination. Candidates can see the Jaypee University of Information Technology B.Tech admission process below.

• Eligible candidates can apply for JUIT Solan B.Sc/BBA admissions.
• Admissions to 50% of the seats will be granted to both the courses on the basis of the candidates' merit in the qualifying examination, that is, Class 12th marks.
• The students who have qualified CUET UG will be considered for JUIT Solan B.Sc and BBA admissions for the remaining 50% of the total seats.
• Shortlisted candidates can finalise their admissions by paying the admission fee and submitting their documents for verification purposes after which their seat will be secured.

The details of JUIT Solan M.Tech admission process is given below. The Jaypee University of Information Technology M.Tech admissions are based on GATE examination.

• Before applying for JUIT Solan M.Tech admission 2025-26, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates must fill the JUIT Solan application form and pay the application fee.

• Candidates have to appear for GATE and in the case of non-GATE candidates, the university conducts an entrance test known as Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET).

• Candidates will be selected based on their marks scored in GATE or PGET examination.

• Candidates must get their documents verified and pay the JUIT Solan fees for the course as the last step in the admission process.
