The academics at RU are strong and consistent. Faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and focused on helping students understand concepts beyond just exams. Students especially appreciate the guidance and discipline in academics.
College Infra
I have done my B.sc hons also from here only and I believe the infrastructure is overall very good. The libraries, classrooms , ground all are spacious enough.There’s Wi-Fi in academic blocks, a 500-seat air-conditioned auditorium, e-learning centres, and sports grounds with equipment for regular competitions.
Placements
Placements at Ranchi University have been improving year by year. The university’s placement cell brings in top recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, ICICI Bank, and Tata Group companies. Depending on the course, 50% to 75% of students get placed, with the highest packages going up to 10-12 LPA and an average around 3.5-5 LPA. Internship opportunities are also provided with companies like HDFC Bank and Concentrix. For technical and vocational courses like BCA and BBA, students regularly get roles in software development, data analysis, and web development. The support is best if you stay proactive and skill-ready.

The academics are not good, and the overall learning experience is disappointing. The infrastructure also needs a lot of improvement. Most students come here just to complete their degree.
