It has a good academic environment and a long-standing reputation. The campus is decent and offers the basic facilities students need, though some areas could be better maintained. Overall, it’s a reliable place for education with a mix of strengths and a few areas that need improvement.
offers a solid academic environment with well-structured courses and experienced faculty. Classes are generally well-organized, and the departments are active in seminars and academic activities. While there is still room for improvement in facilities and student support, the overall learning atmosphere is steady and dependable.
Placement opportunities at Ravenshaw University are decent but vary across departments. Some professional courses get better company visits, while general courses may have fewer options. Students often rely on their own skills and external opportunities, but the university is gradually improving its placement support.
Ravenshaw University is generally good value for money. The fees are affordable compared to many other universities, and students get a respectable academic environment in return. While some facilities could be improved, the overall cost-to-quality balance is reasonable for most students.
Campus life at Ravenshaw University is lively and engaging. Students get plenty of opportunities through clubs, fests, and cultural events. While the crowd and energy make the campus fun, some areas can feel crowded at times. Overall, it offers a balanced mix of academics and student activities
Overall, Ravenshaw University offers a good mix of academics, campus life, and affordability. The academic environment is steady, campus activities keep student life active, and the fees are reasonable. While some facilities and placements can improve, it remains a dependable choice for many students.
The college infrastructure is decent and serves most academic needs. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with basic facilities. Laboratories and the library are functional, though some areas could use upgrades and better maintenance. The campus has good open spaces and the overall environment is peaceful. Hostel facilities vary, with some blocks better maintained than others. Cleanliness is generally fine, but it could be more consistent. WiFi works but can be unreliable at times. Overall, the infrastructure is adequate but there is room for improvement.
The academic environment at Ravenshaw University is steady and largely depends on the department. Most faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable, and they cover the syllabus well. Teaching quality is generally good, though it can feel inconsistent at times. I think using a common language like english at times would be better because there are sieves who don't know odia so when teachers soak in odia it's difficult for them to comprehend certain topics. curriculum is structured and gives a solid foundation in each subject, but practical exposure could be improved in some courses. Internal exams, assignments and practicals are conducted sometimes on time, which helps keep students on track but it could be better. Overall, academics are reliable, but there is space for more updated teaching methods and stronger industry alignment.
The placement opportunities at Ravenshaw University are moderate and vary by department. Some courses see better company participation, while others depend more on students applying off-campus. The placement cell conducts workshops, seminars and basic training sessions, but the support could be more consistent. A few reputed companies visit every year, mostly offering entry-level roles. Students with strong academic records and good skills generally secure placements, but overall the placement rate is average. It’s helpful to build your own portfolio and apply independently alongside campus drives.
Ravenshaw University offers good value for money overall. The fee structure is relatively affordable compared to many other institutions, especially considering the campus, faculty and academic reputation. Some facilities could be better maintained, and placement support is average, but the cost of studying here is reasonable for what students receive. For those who make full use of the resources and opportunities available, the university provides a fair return on investment.
Campus life at Ravenshaw University is lively but still feels grounded. The campus has a good mix of academic and cultural activities, and students get plenty of chances to join clubs, events and fests. The environment is friendly, and most people find it easy to settle in and make connections. The open spaces and heritage buildings add to the overall vibe, though some areas could use better upkeep. Day-to-day life is comfortable, and there’s always something happening, but it’s not overwhelming. Overall, campus life is engaging and gives a decent balance between studies and extracurriculars.
Good but improvements can be done. Some other infrastructure could be developed. Students need more places such as activity center and rooms should be increased for classroom..........................
Classes are not conducted regularly. We are not properly informed about our exams ans sometimes timing between semesters is soo soo short that it gets too hectic. Some faculty should be replaced .....
No placements are available for students of science and arts students. Only financing course and commerce people are placed. Not many companies come and exposure is low for students...................
Other than self financing couses our basic sciences and arts courses are super affordable. Hostels are also good with basic minimal cost. We get good value for the credits we scored...................
Campus life is fun. We have decent amount of events and good groups to be in. People are good and fun to be around. Some people might give unnecessary attitude but it's fine when we get to know then..
Nothing much just some improvements can make the college life better and more feasible. Good people overall good college. Faculty and academic exposure should improve and research should be encouraged among students.
The institution offers a strong infrastructural setup with modern classrooms, functional laboratories, and a well-stocked library. The campus is neatly maintained, and basic facilities such as Wi-Fi, drinking water, and common areas are properly managed. It provides students with a comfortable and efficient academic space.
The academic environment of the college is well-structured and disciplined. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, ensuring a balance between theoretical concepts and practical application. Faculty members are knowledgeable and supportive, making the overall learning experience enriching and effective.
Placement opportunities at the college are steadily improving. The placement team collaborates with various organizations to bring internship and job opportunities to students. Pre-placement training, aptitude classes, and guidance from faculty members make the process smoother and more effective.
The college is largely worth it, especially for its academics and learning environment. While there is still room for improvement in certain areas, the overall experience and exposure make it a reasonable and valuable choice.
Campus life at the college is disciplined yet engaging. Students get a balanced environment with opportunities to participate in events, seminars, and cultural activities. The atmosphere is positive, safe, and supportive, contributing to overall personal development.
The college encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and competitions. These events help build confidence, leadership skills, and overall personality development.
Spacious classrooms, historic yet well maintained libraries, hostel, gym that supports both learning and extracurricular activities. The food is hygenic. Wifi support provided. The living space is clean
The university provides rigorous curriculum, led by experienced faculty who are supportive and focuses on student development. Offers wide range of opportunities for intellectual and personal growth.
Attracts respectable recruiters. Good for students in commerce, IT, Business especially those willing to work hard, build skills and participate in placement related preparations. Not all courses equally show strong placement outcomes.
Makes high quality learning affordable and accessible.
Vibrant and engaging with cultural events and student societies
Remains one of the best institutions for student seeking both academic excellence and fulfilling college experience.
Okish surroundings good ventilation and poor hygiene during summer the classes are very unbearable because of poor ventilators no Ac no fan poor infrastructure all around floors seems very dirty and washrooms are smelly too.
Good teacher but they don't clear the concept don't even finish the whole syllabus and ask the student to complete by their own self they conduct exam very quickly without even considering UGC guidelines.
They do provide us placements but packages are very less. And often placements are not given must priority. The average package offers here is 3-4 LPA which is not a good offer in today's generation.
Yes it is value for money because it is provides good courses in fewer department but all departments are not good.
Campus Life is pretty good here we often have a lot of fun in seven pillars and annual fest here are very well celebrated and maintained we enjoyed a lot of fun dances songs ramps and drama
Ravenshaw is a good place to hangout it has a safe environment around the anti ragging cell works pretty well and females are safe to walk even late night in the campus.
Infrastructure is not so great, but works okay for a two-hundred-year old University. Spaces are sometimes hygienic, seldom clean. Sweepers not available at all times. Although labs and sports center are available, sports center are not maintained. Although they have real good sportspersons, some even win nations.
Teachers focus more on students' private life. Don't focus on competitive exams, later taunt students when they don't get in to other universities for higher education. Study is not at all related to what is needed for higher education. Syllabus and completion don't fit in the same sentence. Syllabus is never over, if ever over, students are not clear about forming answers.
The placement cell only ever gives good placement to the ones that are performing well in the university, or their face is plastered on every other thing in the university. Other students, who are average and look forward to a good placement, are left to fend for themselves via out campus placements, or traveling to other cities to sit through the interviews. Also average package is good, but only if a single person is to provide for themselves.
Since little to less money is spent here on my eduction, I couldn't care less, because at the end of the day or my academic life here the money comes back, or refunded, because, government college But the government should really put some thought into the infrastructure and development of public education.
People here are from economically and socially backward societies, like some remote villages and places. So the mindset really doesn't sit right with some people, they are still stuck to their old ways of doing and thinking stuff. It is especially tricky to reason with such people as we are all grown ups and somethings must come naturally. The campus can certainly handle emergencies since we have had two cases of loose motion and vomiting in 2 boys hostels and they were rushed to the hospital. The best feature is certainly the E-resource, provided with proper lighting and ACs.
Ravenshaw does have a good infrastructure tho many buildings seems very old which required renovation. Many department has a bad ventilation system. The classroom sucks during summer. No Ac many fans doesn’t work too.
Teachers here are okish because they dont really clear the concepts student’s stuggle for notes but they simply them to make their own. Many times classes which are scheduled stand cancel which is irritating.
English department in Ravenshaw, doesn’t offer any placement to the students. Students are highly depended on online platforms for boosting their resume. Students stuggle hard to get an internship often.
Yes it is value for money because Ravenshaw is a government institutions and fee here is very minimal so one with the problems of financial issue can opt for Ravenshaw.
Campuses life is not so interesting tbh Ravenshaw doesn’t organise any annual cultural fest. Only different annual function happens here which is done by various hostel here. Ravenshaw doesn’t promote a good variations of societies it just have few like dance drama literature but they doesn’t work well. Ravenshaw doesn’t have a fashion or art club.
Ravenshaw is university which has a good name from British period but right now it is just an average government university and people of this generation will feel very much suppressed because Ravenshaw doesn’t promote young minds.
As an exchange student, I appreciated the diversity in our batch - students from different states. The international business courses were excellent, but other electives felt watered down. Biggest issue. The 'global' dormitory is just a regular hostel with a fancy name .
The professors here are the real deal - I've been consistently impressed by their knowledge and willingness to help outside class. But at 50k a year, I expected better facilities. Half the classrooms still have chalkboards, and the Wi-Fi in dorms is painfully slow.
When a company tried to downgrade my offer from 4.5 to 3.8 LPA last minute our placement head called them and fixed it. That's when I realized how much they back students. Not every college would do that. They are very supportive for us.
Yes valuable.
