Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with pass marks in (1) Physics, (2) Mathematics, (3) Language, (4) any subject (Chemistry, Biology, Biotech, Technical vocational subjects), (5) Any other subject and with minimum 60% (55% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks in above subjects taken together

Lateral Entry: Diploma in Civil Engineering from an AICTE approved program. Duration of Diploma must be: (i) 03 years after 10th (Matriculation) in conventional system (ii) 04 years after 10th (Matriculation) in modular system The Candidate must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with 60% marks in aggregate and must have secured 60% marks in Mathematics, as well as must have a minimum aggregate of 70% marks at Diploma level.

Admission Details

Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech. Programmes are required to appear in the JEE (Main) to be conducted by NTA, New Delhi. All admission shall be based on JEE (Main) All India Ranking/CRL.

The Candidates who appear in the JEE (Main) have two channels for admission to the B. Tech. Programmes.

40% of the total seats shall be made through the central counselling i.e. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) based on JEE (Main). The Candidates of any lace of India can participate in “Central Counselling” conducted by CSAB/ JoSA (Online Choice filling process), to get admission in Tezpur University (TU) against these 40% seats.
60% of the total seats shall be made through the Tezpur University Counselling. These seats are reserved for the permanent residents of North East (NE) States. The Candidates need to fill-up Tezpur University application form in addition to JEE (Main) - application. The applicants desiring a seat under the NE quota PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by the competent authority will be required.

Tezpur University located in the city of Tezpur is a central university. Located about 7km form Tezpur Town. It is quite well equipped with infrastructures and facilities. Classrooms have projectors installed. Clean and hygenic

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the university is good. We've a well equipped gym, sports center, basketball court, volleyball court, yoga sessions, and various clubs for music, art, dance, quiz etc. The hostels and departments are great with 24×7 wifi facility. We also have a swimming pool. The only issue with hostel is the lack of availability of hot water, we have to use iron rods which is a bit scary. Otherwise rest everything is good.
