Yes you can change your category from ur to ews inside the college for sure but it is not going to help you that much. Because inside college everyone is at the same platform. Still if you change your category it will be beneficial for you during scholarships

Since the ews category is new for all of us it would be very difficult to predict the cutoffs beforehand. But you can expect it be 4-5%  lesser than that of general category. The difference between the obc category and general category be 4-5% whereas between general category and
