MA English at NBU Offline Course

Master of Arts (MA) in English is a full-time two years duration course and it is offered by the University of North Bengal, Siliguri. The Department of English was one of the few departments with which the University of North Bengal started functioning fifty years ago in 1962. Since then the Department of English has always been vibrated with teaching, research, and extramural activities. The Department has at present only six teachers and two posts are likely to be filled up shortly. Most of the teachers serving now have international publications and visits to their credit. Some of them are engaged in collaborative work with universities abroad. Always innovative but earnestly student friendly, the staff of the Department has always been trying to keep the matter of teaching and research on a par with the current international standards. A language lab, a well-stocked seminar library, a computer lab, and the audio-visual aids supplement the elan of the teachers to break new grounds. And the results of all these have always been satisfactory. The Department takes pride in a regular output of brilliant students and researchers many of whom are well-established academics home and abroad.
