Eligibility Criteria

Nationality- The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have graduated from Institutions located in India.

Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or First class for M.Tech. degree programs.
Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection counseling at VIT
The candidates should produce a statement of final year marks and Provisional degree certificate before August 15th, failing which admission will be cancelled with the forfeit of admission fee

B.E/B.Tech. Degree in Chemical/Leather Technology/Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology/Biochemical/Bio-Medical/Bio-Informatics or a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or M.Sc. Degree in any branch of Life Sciences/MBBS/M.Sc.(Ag) & M.V.Sc.

Admission Details

Admission to M.Tech. Programmes are based on VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) conducted by VIT in major cities across India.
Advertisement published in leading newspapers regarding the issue of application forms, important dates etc.,
Entrance examination conducted in major cities all over India.
Selection is through counseling based on the rank secured in the Entrance Examination. Preference is given to the candidates with GATE score for M.Tech. admission.

College Infrastructure

VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.

College Infrastructure

A very good and decent college with nice infrastructure and lovely campus life.that includes a very good library. The faculty is also very experienced. VIT has The university has a total of 18 hostels for boys students.Vellore Institute of Technology has 6 hostels for accommodation of girls students.
