24 MonthsXavier Institute of Social Service offers two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management with Human Resource Management approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. The two-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Human Resource Management) aims at preparing young men and women to face challenges in the domain of Human Resource Management. Apart from the fundamental theoretical inputs in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, and Human Resource Development, the programme seeks to equip students with practical knowledge and requisite skills to be effective in their profession. Stress is laid on the development of dynamic personality by nurturing in the students, values, and attitudes built on the firm edifice of keen social-awareness.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2022-23 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their graduation examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) by August 2023.
Admission Details
A candidate desirous of seeking admission at Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi will have to appear in an all India level management admission test. XISS, Ranchi considers only the following three admission test scores for shortlisting the candidates:
- Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2023) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur
- Common Admission Test (CAT 2022) conducted by IIM, and
- (CMAT 2023) conducted by NTA, are the only approved examinations through which a candidate can apply to XISS Ranchi

Computer labs and Wi-Fi facilities are easily accessible which greatly helps us in projects and research. The canteen provides good quality food at reasonable prices and the college also provides sports and recreational facilities. In general, the place is vibrant and it creates a very conducive space for both academic and extracurricular activities.
It has been good so far and one can give this a try.

College Infrastructure
The college Infrastructure isn't magnificent. But then there is a decently maintained library, a gym and a canteen. Apart from that there are Sports and Cultural events that take place here which is highly anticipated in the city, so one may enjoy themselves.
