Placements

Approximately 30 to 50 % of them are placed, with avg. packs of ₹5-8 LPA. Marketing placements also come in a very diverse size, while HR placements are competitive. IT, retail, and BFSI industries are the big recruiters, but even then, MNC recruitment is of modest sizes.

Around 20% of students get placed in mid-level firms in HR positions with offers of ₹4-7 LPA. BFSI and IT firms are favored recruiters. Soft skills training is helpful, but exposure to HR analytics would also help with more placements

Approximately 55-60% of the students get placed, and most of them are in HR and marketing for pay packages ranging from ₹3-5 LPA. Finance and consulting is more difficult to get and most of the students opt for off-campus recruitments for better profiles.

The college offers a 2-year, full time MBA program in human resource, finance, marketing and information technology. The college fee is INR 40K for a year and total of INR 80k. Institute of Management Studies, Ranchi University, Ranchi Admission criteria include: The candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university having secured a min. of 50% average marks. Also, the candidate should appear in any of the national level management test such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/ATMA. The scores secured play an important role in selection. The candidate having a work experience will hold a good chance. Shortlisted candidates will have to attend the GD/PI extempore. After which selection is done.There is no direct admission in IMS Ranchi, admission are based on the valid entrance exam score only.
